Biography
Name: Persian "radiant sun"

-mysterious stranger who entered the Descendants' territory asking for shelter
-oddly attached to her outfit, consisting largely of various rags, skins, and drapery that hid her form
-the Descendants' chalked this up to perhaps self-consciousness or merely a personality quirk and didn't push it, as they were used to odd characters in their midst
-lo and behold, she turned out to be a shape shifted, mortal form of Hvar-xšaēta, the very ancestor the Descendants had venerated for so long
-Hvar, upon realizing that the sun cub he'd been waiting for was born around the same time as the untimely awakening of the sun-devouring serpent Apophis: "Heck."
-he stayed alone and in hiding for much longer than a lioness normally would after giving birth for this exact reason, causing the pride a fair bit of concern considering they were witnessing an apocalypse of sorts
-he also wanted to wait until little Mehr had attained his full, glorious solar radiance before he presented him to the pride
-except... Mehr never actually achieved it
-the idea was that he'd start out incomplete and as he suckled, would become the divine lion he was meant to be
-but he was weaned rather late and still showed no signs of his radiance, causing Hvar to begin to panic
-he sought out Kourosh, expecting to find him allied with Bast against the serpent as his ancestors had done, knowing that as a goddess of light and royalty, Bast would be able to help
-but NOPE, that also wasn't going according to plan because the damned, well-meaning fool had awakened Anubis instead
-immediately regretting all the choices that had let him to aide his descendants, Hvar went about trying to convince Kourosh to go back and awaken Bast instead
-but the poor, stupid, caring buffoon was so damned stubborn about helping Anubis become more confident (Hvar was simultaneously very frustrated and quite proud), that it took nothing less than revealing Mehr's existence early to convince him
-everything was sorted out in the end, though at a great personal cost to Kourosh
-after that, "Fersetadh" revealed himself as Hvar-xšaēta, explaining that he'd still be hanging around until his mortal lioness body perished
-and with so many of the pride's lionesses growing old and passing away, he even generously agreed to continue hunting for the pride, as simple mortal things were still rather novel and fun to a spoiled celestial lion such as himself
