Gift from Sunflower🌻 [189214] — Given to me so she may have a loving cave to retire in 💖

It had been many days and many nights, most of which were sleepless and full of panic, paranoia or anxiety due to the two-leggers roaming the lands. These two-legged fleshy beings, thought they owned these lands, taking everything in sight, be it animal or plant, young or old. They destroyed everything they touched, including the lives of all the beings living in the lands. This included stealing young cubs from their parents, and killing the hyena or lion parent when it tried to protect their cub.
Times were truly dark...
It was because of these dark times that Sunflower was forced from her pride, as wildfires began burning out of control, caused by unattended campfires or deliberately set to flush out animals from the bush. Left with no other option, cut off from her pride by the raging flames, Sunflower was forced to turn away from her loved ones, or forfeit her life.
After what seemed like weeks, or even months of travelling, she was finally so exhausted and fighting back near starvation, that she found a shady spot and lay down for what she thought was the last time. With exhaustion taking over, darkness quickly took her and she fell into unconsciousness.
It wasn’t long until she was awoken by the feel of pinching on her ears and tail. She was so tired and it felt like her eyes had been glued shut. She fought to open them and when she did, she found that there were two cubs nibbling and pulling at her ear and tail. They were arguing over something as they pulled one way, then the other. Sunflower let out a grumble, and pulled her paws underneath herself, so she could push herself up into a sit. “See, I told you they were alive!” One of the cubs shouted. The other one just frowned and stuck her tongue out at her sibling.
After a big stretch, where most her body cracked and body’s from the stiffness, she turned back to the cubs. “Thank you for waking me, I was unaware that I was in another prides territory. It’s best I move on before I cause any problems here..” she said softly, with a small nod at the cubs, before she started her slow and long walk to wherever it was that she was going. The cubs watched her go, a worried look on both their faces, and as soon as they could, they ran back to their mothers to tell them about the sickly lion.
Sunflower hadn’t gotten very far, when she started to pick up the patter of other paws all around her. Yet when she looked around, she saw nothing. She really didn’t want to get in another fight... She dropped her posture and lowered her head, showing some submission, and quickly slowed her already slow pace. It took hardly a minute, and it happened so fast, when four lionesses sprung from the grass to surround her, causing her fur to spring up around her neck and her ears to pin back.
