Humble. That was his beginning. Sen'jin was not born from royal bloodlines, and in fact comes from a small pride originally hailing from the coasts of West Africa. As soon as he came of age, he was banished to find his own way, but it would seem that that is happening far quicker than even he thought. - - Well past middle age, Sen'jin has grown tired. His group of outcasts has grown into a sizeable pride, one he loves dearly. He grooms Vol'jin to lead in his stead, for the time of his end looms very soon on the horizon; it comes on dreams, in pieces of visions of humans with roaring metal machines, in the scent of rotting flesh and smoke, in the taste of acrid blood on a torn tongue. Time will tell whether his visions will become truth, but the old king has displayed the prowess of a witch doctor for a long time, and not many of his wives nor his children doubt the messages he receives from the whispers of spirits.
