Beard is a decoration sorry --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am Manathu, Abandoned Son of Avalyn. When King Manazirat took me in I was unwanted by my own father. When I was first brought in, he took me straight to His Immortal Shaman, Sarnaizanno. He looked me over and without even plucking hairs from my Mane Pronounced me the King's Heir. I wasn't even his son, I just had What he called "The King's Color" He called it "The Black Fringe" and said it was an ancient Mutation of the Pride that signified the next king. According to this Kooky old lion, An event called "The Great Paling" happened in the Pride when Kings started taking a fancy to unmarked females. The unforseen result was the visible loss of the Colors. Through Mystic Abilities The King's Father and Grandfather managed to create a potion to activate the dormant gene, but there was only enough for one lion to take. Manazirat's Grandfather gave it to his son and retired but sadly Manusaba could not produce an heir with the royal Mark. Instead he chose to put an unmarked Lion on the Throne in hopes that they could one day find the right ingredient's for the potion to activate it or that he would adopt a son with the mark. They found me first. I was also told that I should look for a Queen with my mark. I've been trying but I hope more for the potion as I fancy one of the Pride's existing females. As an update, I've since Taken the Throne and through the Mystic Powers of Sarnaizanno, my Shaman, I have been transformed to resemble my father, the King who took me in when no one else wouldn't. I honor Manazirat and his Forefathers by adopting their look. As the Black Fringe is mutated into my skin, I have retained that as a testament to their legacy. I've also found a Queen with my Mark. When Faru came to the Pride She was a surprise to be sure. But she is now my Queen and we couldn't be happier. Under my father she Volunteered for Reverse Breeding, and I will let her keep that. How ever she is my mate and I hope to produce a worthy heir for my adoptive familty
