Born in a small pride, Jaggedstone was always trying to make a name for himself. He always tried to be the best, even if no one believed he could. Eventually, the dry season came and Jaggedstone's pride was beginning to struggle. He lived at the borders of the Lioden Nature Reserve, far from any watering holes. The pride's water supply was a small pond, west of their territory. Eventually, that pond dried out and it forced JaggedStone's pride to move south. The journey was long and hard and many were either killed off or died of dehydration. Surprisingly, the pride had managed to make it to the watering hole nearby. They drank, quenching their thirst. After a day of being there, an older male lion strolled into the area, his mauve coat lightened by the gleaming sunlight. He had approached them, demanding that they leave his territory. Unfortunately, JaggedStone's father was too stubborn and was easily killed by this male. The king looked at JaggedStone with such pity and smiled a little, is long teeth glinting as he opened his muzzle. "Would you like to join my pride?" He asked Jaggedstone. He nodded, heading to the King's cave to settle in. After a few days, Pinesplinter retired. He chose Jaggedstone to take his place, understanding that he could take these responsibilities.
