Wasaliti - Trechery
Wasaliti is the first non-blood king of Milele Kubadilisha pride. His ancestry hails from Milele Kubadlisha's former enemy, the Jua Giza pride. His father King Uyafa was a tyranical ruler who ruthlessly wiped out prides in surrounding territories, to lay claim to their land and lionesses. Wasaliti was not born into the antgonistic pride, thanks to the former
King Fadhili. The two prides fought, and Fadhili defeated Uyafa, freeing the Jua Giza.
When Fadhili and the pride fought Uyafa's, many of the remaining lions scattered. Few remained who wished to join Fadhili, one of them being Uyafa's queen. The dark king had multiple queens, who he had terrible patience for. None of them lasted very long, for Uyafa would either kill or maim and chase them out. This lioness carried the cubs of Fadhili's enemy, but he withstood his judgement and took them in. Wasaliti was born, and to Fadhili's dismay, was a perfect splitting image of his father. His dappled pelt was unlike most of the pride, and he stood out in every bad way. Wasaliti's mother did not make the rough drought that followed that season, and passed.
Mwako took care of the young cub, becoming a surrogate mother to him. He grew up, well aware that Fadhili was not his father. He remembered his mother, who would tell him stories of a handsome rogue lion who charmed her with his mane and wit. It was only when href="https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794136923058 ">Chunga, another survivor from Jua Giza, bitterly revealed the whole truth to him.
Horrified by the truth of his father's identity, and his crimes, Wasaliti withdrew from everyone. He would drift further and further each day, lurking behind the rest of the pride, which set unrest and suspicion into Fadhili. When the great king gained a permanant injury from a tussle with an ox, he was forced into retirement, and had to choose an heir to take over. Fadhili and Mwako had just welcomed a litter of cubs into the pride, but he could not name one of his offspring as king. Fadhili knew he didn't have a lot of time left, and needed to leave the pride in safe paws. he had to pick between the 3 subordinate lions in the pride. While Mawingu and Moja had more experience, and had unthreatening origins, they had weaknesses that did not make for a fair or great king. Mwako urged Fadhili to pick Wasaliti, who was just short of his own kin.
