Born into the pride when the slate lioness was discovered pregnant. Gage, being the kind and tolerant king, allowed her to keep the lilac hued cub. Though, at first Gage was mistrusting, but willing to care for the cub, as if he was his own, the king soon developed a proper fatherly bond to Astraios. Alongside the stark white cub, Baila, they both surpassed his mistrust, and now are nestled with his other children within his heart.
Astraios seems to be growing into a very colorful coat, and his top canine teeth have grown extremely long (reminding Gage of stories of ancestral cats.). He has begun to attract the attention of the younger lionesses in the pride...However, he pays no attention to them. All their flattery is taken in stride, but he does not return their flirting. Gage does not mind this in the least, but it seems to upset the ladies...being turned down by the young prince.
The king has once again let his kind heart get the better of him, and has brought under his wing a young, cream coloured young male, by the name of Phanes. Astraios and Phanes seem to have become fast friends! Both the young lads in later days, will become inseparable, and soon more than friends.
