Salomao's Den

Overlooking the valley, a gentle morning wind blew through the feather-filled mane of a sturdy male. In peace, he laid down, his chest rising and falling lazily as the newly-peaked sun warmed his body. Salomao was content here, living among the Swifts and humans, and he swore to protect these green mountains with his life. His head upon his paws, the lion sighed happily as he watched his lionesses and cubs.

His ears twitched as he heard you approaching, yet he did not stir, as if you were one of his own. With his eyes sealed and body idle, only the breeze in his mane evoked any movement. For a minute he sat, simply listening to the wind. "Welcome to the valley," he spoke welcomingly. "Come, sit, let me tell you the war stories." Wonder filled the elder lion’s voice.

Atop a hill stood a steel-coated male, his fur as sleek as the metal. He was obviously younger than the bronze. He seemed wary. "Don’t be such a hippie, old man," he snarled to his predecessor.
Silly boy. He had so much to learn.
