Deep into the desert’s heart, far past the endless dunes, lays a hidden oasis known as the paradise. However for those local to the oasis this territory is known as the swelling River, and is home to very few. The only animals known to successfully cross the Savannah’s scorching sands and make it in or out alive are those blessed with the gift of flight. If a lion wishes to escape the oasis, or find their way back- they must follow the desert’s eyes of the sky.
Despite the odds, and harsh bare land, a single pride of celestial lions stand alone against it all and thrives where many others would fall. The sandy territory is owned by King Tsuki, his claim of the land stretches to both the northern and southern sides of the oasis including the river that follows through it. The pride is known to be fairly tolerant to outsiders, allowing travelers to take what they need in order to recoup from the difficult journey. For anyone who attempts to disturb the way of life here at the oasis, or threaten the peace- will soon find themselves up against the celestial prides judgment.
The prides founder, First king anune- once rivaled with his first queens birth pride, the pride of healers. The opposing pride of healers mastered the southern side of the swelling river, while anune ruled the northern. Small battles were waged between king anune and joys father king Lum'foomo. They fought over the herds, trespassing each other’s lands, and many other things.
As time pasted the pride of healers suddenly started having more serious, and deadlier competition as a massive pack of hyenas moved into the edges of the southern prides land. The Pride of herbs couldn't fight off such a massive group of hyenas and wage war with anunes growing pride at once. So, in a act to protect his family and his pride- king lum'foomo surrendered his crown as king, his land and his own first born daughter all to King anune. Princess joy, the southern land, and king lum'foomo's pride would become anune's to rule as the soul ruler- only if anune promised to protect his pride, and treat them as his own. King anune accepted the offer, and together the new powerful pride of celestials drove the hyenas far away from the pride lands- thriving to this day.
