Lore (WIP)

In the beginning, there was Wynchester. Though unkind, he was not brutal, and, under his rule, the pride flourished. During this time, his sub male, named Mottledpelt, became increasingly power hungry. The lionesses preferred the much more attractive sub to their king, too.

The day finally came, when Mottledpelt and the aging Wynchester were alone at the watering hole. With lethal precision, Mottledpelt sank his teeth into the king's throat; the elderly king didn't stand a chance.

Mottledpelt returned to the pride, dragging the fallen king's body with him. He spun a tale of half truth and deceit to the lionesses, claiming that the king had lost his life in a duel with a lone rogue male.

Upon his ascension to the throne, Mottledpelt assumed the name, Nihil Reliquum, meaning "Nothing Remains". True to his new name, any lions that failed to meet his expectations or further improve his dynasty, were ruthlessly dispatched in increasingly brutal ways. What started with swift kills and painless deaths, devolved into tortuously painful and slow demises, much to the glee of Nihil. It was if something sinister was slowly taking over the King....
