(Important-to-know note that I am and always have been an avid dirty breeder, it's how I've played ever since I made an LD account in its beta and I've been incorporating it into my King/Pride's lore (Even if he himself is clean atm, his heritage past the first gen will not be), have been ever since I had my past king Basil. My pride lore is clearly meant to only appeal to dirty breeders. This can lead to some disturbing content in bio, namely in regards to lion incest and certain other things. I will not change my pride lore for anyone, if that disturbs you, it's best to hightail it out. Viewer discretion is advised.)

All of my lore for each king's way of raising his pride stays grounded to the LD-verse, I have a fascination with the Shamans and stuff around them in this game, so things like walking the spirit realm and the like will show up a lot with my pride kings alongside bodyswapping as lore for allowing my King to live for multiple generations, but outside that, it's pretty ordinary. We need more grounded-in-reality lion prides tbh.
I just did a full den clean-out in a want to play LD under a new king, while keeping the basics of what I had in terms of territory lore and just changing things around. This time, I decided my next batch of pride lore would be a polygamous cult of flower lions! :D
THE KHUMA TERRITORY
The Khuma garden's territory is situated within the shrublands. Founder King Osiris's idea for his pride location was that he'd like a territory where there are no trees blocking the skies, bushes are fine, for they allow places to hide when it comes to hunting, but the Khuma lions want clear view of their ancestors skies during the night, which can't be given within a jungle or anywhere where there's multitudes of trees. Their reason for this being the connection with the lion spirits are a strong one in this area, and connection to the Shamans have made Osiris, and soon those after him, take up the role of one alongside being king. The Shaman King and Queen believed they need to be as close to the stars as possible.
The territory is situated among a moor, and raised up so that their home is closest to the skies and stars. The Khuma get the first drop of rain, snow, feel the breeze through their fur, and rarely do they go in their caves during the day, not unless it's too hot, too cold for any of them, or storming, though floods are their biggest fear in such lands.
The caves they reside are perfect for them, big enough to house all of the King's future wives, daughters, and yes, even his sons, and keeps little mangy hyenas and such away from the Khuma Garden's supplies, and is elevated to keep from getting too wet during the wet seasons. However it's still not enough to stop the massive floods that come around during June, no home home can prevent those, but it's safe enough for the lions that reside it.
The territory is protected in a nature reserve created and set up by the humans in a village nearby, purposefully large enough to hold a couple dozen of lionesses. The lions aren't scared or intimidated of the biped visitors that come with their flashing cameras and tour guides, as long as they stay in their vehicles there's no big deal. The humans protect the lions from poachers thanks to their reserve alongside giving them food, and sometimes the lions try to help the humans when illegal poaching ensnares the wildlife they're trying to keep safe. Sometimes the lions even show off to the villagers! They're quite lovely people. To be sent to the nature reserves is deemed an honor.
Within the territory as of current is King Clematis, a formerly semi-domesticated lion and his garden of wives who all live happily together in a Non-Sororal polygyny relation with their king and and polygamous relationship with one another, and he holds a want to nurture the perfect family. The lions here practice arts in the form of painting, dancing, and singing, something that's been studied from their human neighbors and said to be very unusual for lions to practice. Flower motif is also very common as per the theme of the pride being a "Garden", taking in the form of the floral decors they wear and, even more notably, their names.
The king and lionesses within it are so friendly and welcoming. it is said that once you spend time within the Garden, You'll never want to leave...
