THE CHARACTER

renfri vellga, or renfri of creyden, or the princess of creyden, or simply the shrike.

a young woman whose tale mimics snow white gone even more awry, renfri was born beneath the cursed eclipse of the black sun, marked from birth to die. she evaded multiple attempts on her life and became a bandit known as the shrike, ultimately meeting her fate in blaviken.

renfri is from the witcher franchise, although to date, she only appears in two locations: the pilot episode of the netflix series, and an early short story in the first (chronological) book. regardless of her rare appearances, she is my favorite female fictional character.
