Fiachna's Den

The home of the Heart's Ease pride lay deep in the jungle bordered by rocks and plains. They are a friendly but secretive pride keeping to themselves usually.

-Uzzi's Reign-
Uzzi, the first king of the Heart's Ease Pride, founded the pride in the deepest jungle where the thick foliage and shadows would hide them from danger. Many lionesses joined him there, following his calm, gentle ways, hunting with reverence, and living their lives without fear under the shelter of the trees.

-Lord Enitan's Reign-
Brought up learning the ways of peace and understanding from Lord Uzzi, Enitan led the pride into a golden era. His calm understanding and great wisdom is a blessing and a lesson to all future generations.

-Devdas's Reign-
The reign of the white lion was a blessed one. Lord Devdas took a more firm stand against intolerance within the pride.

-Somerled's Reign-
An era of great riches and comfort. Lord Somerled was kind to all, the lessons learned from Devdas were taken firmly to heart. The Dark King was as beloved as his predecessor.

-It pains me to admit relation to Driscoll at this point. The treacherous beast has abandoned us all for the Dragon's Guard. Ladies Reul and Marsaili have attempted to get him to return to us, but his outrage at Lord Fiachna's perceived slight is too great and he refuses to have anything to do with any of us. I fear for our future. Driscoll is not easily bested by anyone.-

-Lord Fiachna is not known for his temper, as it is usually quite mild and he tends to avoid conflict if at all possible. Today however he came back from his usual adventuring in a fury that seemed impossible to quell, many of us were frightened to go near him, though we've always known he would never harm us. Hanae, our seer, seemed grim as we observed Lord Fiachna's mood together. She tells me that things may soon come to a head between our king and Driscoll. Beyond that she would not tell me any details. I fear for the pride should it come down to a fight between the two. Driscoll may not be as skilled as Lord Fiachna, but he is vicious and cruel, should he come out the victor hard times would surely befall us all. I can only pray that the goddess continues to smile upon us.-

-This morning the pride awoke to the sounds of battle and rushed out to find Lord Fiachna and Driscoll locked in combat. Though terror settled in our hearts we could do nothing to help our king in the fight against my cruel brother. It was a fierce fight but thankfully Lord Fiachna came out the victor. Not without cost however, the king is currently being tended by the healers, they had meant to treat Driscoll as well but found him dead when they returned for him. It's still uncertain what started the battle and Driscoll died from his injuries or one of his many sins finally caught up with him.-

-The Dragon's Guard has officially been disbanded. Without Driscoll and Brogan to lead them they could not remain separate from us. Some of the former members have rejoined our ranks others have sadly left or passed on.-
