The Pride of Fireflies
welcome, to the pride of fireflies!
we are nicknamed the "firefly lions" or the "lucciola leone" because we love fireflies a lot. we think fireflies are creatures that are like stars. they shimmer and glimmer brightly, blinking like the stars high up in the sky. although we also like stars, we think fireflies are more beautiful. why? others often ask. it is because one can basically see a firefly. you can touch a firefly. a firefly is always near the ground where us, firefly lions, walk. we simply can not fly like the birds in the large, blue sky. nor can we go to space. however much one tries, nobody can touch a star. they are simply bright space objects and are very different from fireflies though they may be similar in some ways. older generations of our pride say that a legend once said,"when a lucciola leone dies, they become a firefly, so that they can roam the earth together with their descendants and look after them in time of need."
