Story Time
The Ayo Pride has more then one meaning. In this case, the name means Joy. A pride of Joy feels much more then that single emotion though. With it was a slow start based all on uncertainty. Of course ask any other king and they'll say what one wasn't? Of course there are those very fortunate ones who daily come across luck, this pride is most definitely not like that. But that is for the best, cause challenge is what makes it fun.

Part one
The silent beginning:
This Pride of Joy, had a tough and slow beginning. The original King, known by the name Scartel, had begun by pure mistake. How is that possible you may ask? Well, simlply being a rouge and entering a free land, brought along many other rivals. Some kings in fact, gifted lionesses. The reason was most likely because they were as weak as he. Yet he was dumbfounded and just let it happen. He wasn't one to outspeak anyone. It was all a hassle. Just stumbling upon land and gaining females, earning such responsibility. He was overly quiet and kept to himself. It never changed with age, instead it turned to quiet wisdom. If you need to speak to him any one of his members at the time would giggle and point you in the direction of his mate and their Queen. Chuse. A kind and gentle female who would follow her King's demand no matter the price. With an extremely plain appearance, but confident vibe she met Scartel in the start of it all. Only a cub herself, but extremely observant. Doing her best to help guide her pride alongside her husband. She spoke for him. Making key choices, and leading them to slowly prosper. By the time the pride grew they had been ready to pass on their knowledge, using everything they had left to improve upon themselves. In turn a day came when the quiet pride grew loud at the birth of their heir, and future king.

Part two
Changes, twist and abnormalities.
From the moment Scarell was born he was told to change. From a female to a male before he was even five months old. He was given clear instructions, a king is kind and a kings heart is the pride. If the pride was at peace then he could rest easy. He was guided clearly, yet he was very obviously rebellious. He had the spirit of a rusty elder, a child like heart. His body was most definetly the build of royalty. He did not on the other hand, reflect that mindset. He was playful, jolly, and not truly responsible as a child. Even as an adolescent the pride worried for the future. Expecally so when it came time to pick a queen. If you asked Scarell he could tell you in detail how the meeting went. He was barely over a year and she was hardly five months. He had left his father while searching a neighboring pride. The payment of 170 silver beetles and two elephant carcasses pre-paid. He looked around knowing well that who he picked would be by his side until he passed. He had grown bored at the looks and seduction. No one interested him. Until he over heard a mother scolding her child. The Cub was claiming to be a creature other then a Lion. He laughed and turned around. A small male was puffing and giving clear points on how he was not a Lion. Scarell was amazed and walked up excusing himself. He sat, and focused his attention on the two of them. The cub was bringing up good points. Cute when riled up.
"Madame, don't be so ruff on the child. It says it's not a lion. It's not my right to tell you what to do and I apologize. Yet isn't it easier to just accept it's choice on who it determines it is?" He smiled and looked down in a stance that showed he was ready to pounce. The one thing he got from his father was to accept what was forced upon him. Yet he dealt with it a tad more fiercely. Finding it much more fun figuring out how to mold the situation.
"Though young one. What are you?" He placed his paw atop the cubs head before it could speak. Shaking his head uncaring.
"No matter what you are. I want you to be mine. So will you?" He knew after he uttered those words and saw the young boys face light up he had found his true half.
The mother was unnerved. Yet she nodded, probably at the offer of her child joining the ranks of royalty and to avoid conflict. The cub continued eyeing the prince knowing someone had finally acknowledged him. He puffed out his chest.
"I'm a liger." He stated proudly before acknowledging what his mother was thinking or wanted. "I will go with you." He smiled more, obviously excited for the journey.
Scarell had smiled. He was glad, he knew the cub wouldn't mind becoming his mate. His true mate.
"Thank you." He said closely into the cubs ear. He looked back up at the mom who was holding a look of clear worry, hurt and distance. He smiled and tilted his head. "As for you miss. Your cub will not disappoint. The makings of a kind mate. It's clear you care about them, and before I take them you'll teach them all you know about life of royalty." He winked to the mother playfully. Licking the cubs ear for a small farewell and see you later.
After a few very long months for the two mates, the Prince picked up the child bringing an item that was once given to him to reassure the prides genetic line. Liger, the name kept to remind everyone, was now turned female. The pride was astonished at her odd behaviour and Scarells reason as to why. Yet as they grew together, so did the bond of their pride. They matured and took roles serious to a point. Liger no longer cared what others called her. Often it didn't matter as she was refered to as just "Queen." She was a very avid huntress, the energy she had as a cub morphed into a skill. When it came time to pick his own heir things disrupted and tumbled. Leading into a darker and crumbled path for the pride.

Part three
A whisper lingers here forever.
As a sweet cry echoed throughout the AYO pridelands, another roared with distaste. Scarell and Liger looked down at their single cub. A female. Stood next to the king was one of his closet lionesses Belle. One who was the most beautiful in their land. Next to her was a male only nine months old. Yet he was gorgeous and his distasteful roar was strong. He looked down at the female and scoffed. "Great. I get to be King by default. AND I'll be forced to call her my mate." He pouted angrily. A small mouse passing by. Aggressively he pounced and crushed it beneath him. He left it, not hungry or feeling anything. His face was devoid of all emotion. Scarell winced. Liger focused her attention best on her newborn cub, but she was clearly worried and angry. Belle was disgusted at her sons behavior but she knew it was the one she had mated with for him to be this way. Born naturally heartless. She bowed to Scarell and spoke. "Thank you for this opportunity. I am sure he will grow out of it!" Yet she had no idea how wrong she would be. The couple announced their princess when she was five months old. Named Beru Bara. Translated into Belle Rose. She was joyous all her life. Apart from very specific moments. Such as having to be near or speak to her mate. Or when her father died and her mother immediately after. Yet before all that she was given a task. One that was completed right at the end of her mates rule. She was unable to be gender changed due to the timing and promises her father made. She was given an item by her father. A thing that would change her Beast entirely. Beast was known as many things. Mainly as a killer, a gorgeous stud, with violent tendencies. But to Belle, she had to get close to him. Even going so far as to breed with him whenever she was in heat. By then, he had fallen in love with her. Even without the item. The years for the pride with him as king were all successful and very prosperous but everyone lived in fear, with no comfort. Cubs, rouges, lionesses killed. He rid of all he thought ugly. Until one month Beru Bara had enough. Giving him a choice to use the item and die as kind at least in his pride, or be overthrown, killed and unloved. He picked the item. Together they did what they could to fix the tension. Of course nothing could change who he destroyed. She had two more litters before Beasts rule ended. The first of which a daughter from her and Beast. She was given the role by her father before he passed to pick the next heir so when her and beasts child, gave them a grandson, she was joyous and she chose. That was until a very unnatural lion was born into the pride. A subspecies of lion, distant, known as a Primal. Clearly stronger and fierce. She was forced to do some deep thinking. This cub was powerful and would over rule her choice. She had no idea the cubs personality yet, but she did a turn around and changed it all around by picking the primal cub. Even shocking the pride more when she mated with another stud other then Beast for her last litter. One of a clean and kind line. Leaving the world behind a daughter. Beast was devastated at the choice. Yet let it go because of his past. He wanted the rest of his life to be filled with the love he had for her. Their grandchild gender changed and trained to be lead huntress.
