I know this has a lot of flaws for a custom decor, and I'm looking for some artistic opinion and help. ^^ Anyone?

Aww, I think it looks very cosy! ^^

In terms of improvement; Cloth usually has visible texture.I don't really see anything wrong with the light and shadow, but perhaps you could add a bit more texture into the scarf, to give it a more three-dimensional look.

The colour choices are spot on. I really like the looks of this decor! C:

Thank you, Icy! <3

I know what you mean by texture, though I can't figure out how to apply it.
Is this any better?

you could apply texture to the scarf by adding a layer (if working with layers) under the colouring of texture of an actual scarf.
i have used this technique in some of my drawings and most of the time it works effectively, hope this helped! :)

Thank you Neo, but that would be using actual photographs in a custom decor, which is stealing and not able to be accepted. :\

I appreciate your advice, but I can't use it! :c

oh gosh yes sorry i forgot about that ugh silly me >.<
but your texture now is beautiful uwu you have captured the lighting well and the curves of the lions paws on the scarf. The lighter dots of colour really come together to make the scarf whole : > i think you have done an amazing job

omg, please make this for males and cubs and stuff too! I just got the idea of a cub basically drowning in scarf, and it would be so adorable!! I'd def buy!

The addition of your texture is really nice! I love how you drew all the folds on it, cloth is sooo tricky and you did a really good job!

I think what makes it stick out from the lion so much is the super contrasting shading. I think your shadows are a little too dark, and too sharp especially around where the scarf folds over itself on the neck. The lion itself doesn't have really dark shadows to it, wheras your scarf does, going almost black in some areas.
I would also take your eraser and use it to lighten the texture you added here and there to break it up some. The texture is too uniform all over for something that's folded in many places.

I'm more experienced critiquing anatomy than shading, I have a hard time not being able to show what I mean xD;

In terms of the scarf? I only see little things, so you don't have to take it to heart. ^^

However, if you'd like to play around with these suggestions, feel free:

Very, very, VERY subtle shading, from the lioness' head on the scarf. Something like this would be a very light impact shade, but naturally shading from the lioness would show on the scarf.

Also, tiny highlights along the scarf might add a bit more oomf. If you'd like, I could try to show you in a modified example of your image. ^^

I think what makes it look a bit out of place are the black lines. The lion's lines are brown, so perhaps on the red parts of the scarf the outline could be a slightly darker red, and the green have a darker green. Just a suggestion. Maybe test it out and see if it looks better. (But then again, it might not.)

You've done a really good job though, especially the part where it goes over the paws. :3
