Exploring
While exploring you use energy as you move but its always random, from 1 to 3(? I'm not sure if there is a higher number). I believe this mechanic is fairly useless as the amount of energy expended per turn is never the same. What I mean is running into poop can take two energy one time and three the next. This is frustrating and seems a bit unfair. What I suggest are set amounts of energy expended depending on the encounter! Below are my suggestions.

Normal "aka" Nothing: 2 energy (If a lion doesn't have any encounters that still limits them to 5 steps per 15 minutes)
Encountering Enemy: 0 energy (you will use energy depending if you win or loose.. why loose energy on the encounter?)
Resting: 0 energy - energy boost only (This one is self explanatory, when you gain energy through a nap you shouldn't be expending any)

Battling
When you choose to battle there are three outcomes, win, defeat or flee. I understand that a battle is a much bigger interaction and therefor should use more energy but the current energy consumption seems odd. Below are my suggestions.

Winning: 5 energy (you just kicked their butt, you should be rewarded)
Loosing: 10 energy (you just got your butt kicked, you clearly used a lot of energy)
Fleeing in Battle: 5 energy (getting your butt kicked? escape with a lower energy loss) If a chance to fail fleeing is implemented it will stop energy consumption abuse

Leveling
I've read a lot of suggestions about how levels are not valued much.. this suggestion doesn't have much to do with that. I believe once a King has clawed his way to a higher level he should be rewarded. I suggest with each level gain a King should be given a full energy bar!

BTW I looked through a few pages to see if such things have been suggested already. I was not able to find any similar suggestions. However if I missed one and this has been suggested and rejected in the past.. feel free to throw these rocks at me! *Points to pile of suspiciously soft "rocks"*

I believe the energy loss at battles is fine as it is.
When you get your butt kicked, then it is far more relieving that while you get nothing from the encounter you only lose 5 energy and you still have a few more steps to find another NPC to fight.
When you win a battle, then you get a lot of things in return, so a lot more energy loss is okay for it. This also puts on an invisible limit of how many NPC battles you can have in one exploring. If you are incredibly lucky, then you can have about 5-6 battles in one go every two hours if you win each of them. That is also a significant amount of SB/exp/impression. If the battles only consumed 5 energy, then double that.

I also assume that when the developers made energy consumption random at explore steps because the lion doesnt walk the same terrain all the time and the same route. Sometimes the terrain can get rough and the lion will need to put in more effort to wander around. Hence why they sometimes lose 1 energy, sometimes they can lose 3.

When you level, you get stats and sometimes a new place to explore. Maybe you gain 50% when you level up because those bonuses are useful?
Other than that, I support this idea.

Axel has said all I want to. I feel the current in game mechanics are solid. As for the full energy bar at level up, thag has its own suggestion board already.
