New Mane Idea: Half mane. Basically, the bottom half of the neck is short-furred. Front View  Note: This is /NOT/ tsavo. Not even close. It is a almost normal mane, with the under-neck short-furred. The top is NORMAL. A mockup made by Shrodinger's Kit (#12629)  Another mockup, this one is made by ursiday (#66929)  The second is more is more what I had in mind, but I think both would be cool for us short mane lovers <3 |

Ya'll say it doesn't look like a lion's mane but we had that poll a while back and there was a tufted mane, but I've never seen a lion with fur sticking up all along his spine *shrug* (though that would be kinda cool if it was real) I also don't see purple and blueish lions, or grey, or black or white lions running around. xD Or red or orange! EDIT: was on mobile and this sounded rude :) I don't want to come off that way, so I'm editing it now that I can express my thoughts more articulately! 0 players like this post! No support for reasons stated. Also, we already have tsavo, which to me, this suggestion vibes strongly. True, I can't say I've seen a lion with a partially raised mane, it isn't entirely impossible. It's the first mane on LD not to be based on exsisting lion manes. This, to me, is too farfetched. Male lions almost always have a full mane, unless they're a tsavo, shaved, or too young. Actually, that is not an albino; it's a "white" lion which is leucistic. The one with "melanism" is photoshopped. There have never been any actual lions with melanism documented. I actually like it. I don't see lions with manes like Crested running around so a few touches of unaturalism isn't all that bad so long as it's not overbearing. Restricting to actual lion manes can be restricting in the long run as there's only so many types. Eventually Xy will have to let the imagination out to come up with new things. Xy himself said they wanted a few "fantasy elements" in the game like the back mane mutation for example. This can easily pass for a mane that's growing in or falling out.
