I noticed today that a lot of people have been asking for snuhlions in main chat and the helpers keep directing them to sales chat. Still, it keeps happening with different players. I was thinking that helpers and mods should be able to creat little PSA's the pop up at the top of the page. They would look like the announcement for a new news post or something like that, but the boxes could be blue or some other color to make them stand out :) |

This would also come in handy when there's some major glitch on site and an Admin isn't online-- such as with the Advent Calendar last night. The chat box was full of people asking about it. If a Mod had been able to post a little "alert" up top of the screen, it would have saved a LOT of confusion! (I don't think Helpers should be able to, but Mods definitely!) 0 players like this post! I think mods only as well. Helpers don't have any other "special buttons" so this should not be any different 0 players like this post! Like? |

Agreed for the mods. But to be totally fair if people don't read the news post, why would bother with pop ups as well? I understand it is a lot less text however it has happened in the past that even admin alert text is ignored. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like the idea of mods/helpers being able to post announcements like that -- Maybe some people will ignore it, but it'd be a lot more visible at the top of the screen than in the chat box!! As they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you cna't make them drink. AS for helpers being able to post these things.. I dunno. It would depends on how many mods tend to be on any any time... after all, if there is always a mod around who could do that, then a helper doens't need to. But if there are times when there are helpers but not mods, then perhaps they should have some sort of approval system. Like 3 helpers both agree that this is a good post, so it's posted, that way one helper can't "oh noes" the whole website XD 0 players like this post! Like? |
