As the title says, I was thinking of adding asthma to the game. I have asthma and it was severe until I finally started to really take my medicine. So anyway, felines do suffer from asthma. Now, these are lions, but the pollen, dust, and the grass/plants of Africa could make them have asthma. It flares up their bronchial tubes, causing them to swell with mucus, making air unable to pass through. The lion is soon gasping for air. They will fall unconscious and die, unfortunately. Asthma is a terrible lung disease.

I believe this should be for cubs or adolescents. They play the most if can flare up their asthma. The dust, pollen, and grass that is stirring up while playing will effect them a great deal. This can happen at any time and age between 4 month-1 year and 11 months. The king interacts with them or when you give them a feather, skull, or any amusement item. This doesn't just show up randomly. The mutation is there at birth, but the cub doesn't have a chance of dying until late 4 months old and older. A red message will pop up if your cub has an asthma attack after interacting with it, or training.
Example: "Athena just finished Tussling with you and all the sudden can't breath. The cub lays there distress, and all you can do is watch and pray to the gods that Athena will be ok."
Maybe 10 minutes later as you looking around on LD, another red message has popped up.
"Unfortunately, Athena has passed away from an asthma attack."
A window will pop up and ask you if you would like to freeze your cub using a Jellyfish. Unfortunately, if you don't have a Jellyfish, the cub will go to your Dynasty(If an item is ever made to bring the dead back to life, then you can freeze the cub). There is a slim chance that the cub will live to adolescenthood. Its a rare thing if it does happen. Now, if you don't want your cub to have asthma, all you have to do is purchase the Safrou Fruit from the Monkey Shop.

Cub/Adolescent Appearance
The cub or adolescent could be sitting or laying down with a distress look on their face. Their mouth can be open, panting as the cub or adolescent gasps for air. The nose and lips are turning blue, possibly even the toes. As for the body, the cub can be sucking in so much air, that your able to see the rib cage and barely see the stomach. The cub isn't skinny, jus sucking in air to the max.

So, what do you guys think? This is my very first suggestion for LD. What should I change, or what should I add?

I don't think it should randomly appear, I think it should show up at a mutation on their page so you don't have the sudden shock of your cub dying and you can choose to safrou it. If left on the lion they should die after 4-5 months only (again, giving you the chance to use a safrou fruit).

I forgot about the Safrou Fruit! *face palm.*

So, you believe that the cub die between 4-5 months? I am just trying to make it clear.
I mean it to be a Mutation.

I was meaning that the mutation would be visible on their page (under the mutation section) once they reach that age, but you'd still be able to use the falcon eye on them and have it show earlier I suppose. It was the 'sudden surprise death' aspect that I disagreed with, sorry for not being clear.

They'd be playing and exploring more once they're eating solid food, so it's more likely for them to have an asthma attack when they're 4 months or older. Only after the mutation shows up would they have the chance to die from it. I'm not sure if they'd make it to adolescence, and if they did they probably wouldn't be able to do cub/adol training.

Not clicking either one because I like the idea of the mutaion but I don't like the idea they they can die anytime between 4 and 1 year 11 months. I would rather a set month they die just like the other lethal mutations, or for it to be a mutation they don't die from.

What would you suggest the set date be?
I was making it between those times because asthma can be random.

The set month doesn't really matter to me bur maybe under a year?

That or it not being lethal.

I personally prefer it dying randomly. I mean, in real life all people with asthma (who don't take medicine) don't all keel over on day 54.

I don't really understand if it has to die at 1.11 years of age. So, I am assuming if they don't die, they will live on to adulthood.I don't know if this will make sense or not. But here's a suggestion:

If it is a female, and goes into adulthood, it can't hunt? I mean they would be running after the prey and dust can get into their lungs. Then they can die right there? Or they can go hunting, and if they die during the hunt, a message appears and reads, "Your lion, xxx, sadly passed away during this hunt due the dust getting into their lungs :("

I don't really know. This was just a right off the bat kinda idea.

If it wasn't lethal I'd support, as I don't really see why it should necessarily be lethal. I could see it preventing them from hunting though. Either they can't hunt at all are they're less likely to bring something back.

The whole point of it being lethal because they can't get medical help in the wild. They are more likely to die because of it.

I want to add a point about the random death: It is true you would not be able to guess when a lion with this mutation would die as it could happen at any given time but in reality you could not guess when a cub with the other lethal mutations would die either. It just makes things much more simple when we have a set time so we could know how long we had to freeze the cub if we wished to do so. No other lethal mutations have the option to freeze after the cub dies so I think it would be misleading if this one did.

If the cub would just die randomly when you played/tussled/ gave a toy then what about the groom option? Cub play even if other lions don't interact with them so it would make sense for it to die even if you avoided interacting with it.

If it had a set end date I would 100% support without question. I feel it is a great idea and would be a nice unique mutation to add. I also agree it should be lethal because not having medicine to help the cub.

I don't think this would be a very good mutation to have... It shouldn't be Lethal, either way.

Nice one!

I think it could be lethal. But cubs still must a have a change to surive. And it should show as a mutation i think...
