The spine of the cub is deformed. You have a light form and a heavy form. The light form is not lethal(no art change), while the heavy form is(Heavy form requeres new drawing of cub stag) lethal. Every born cub has a 50% change of being the lethal form. Lethal: 50% change Appears: birth It has 15% change, if 1 parent has it, 2 parents is 30) of being heritable. |

While scoliosis is known to affect a wide range of animals, do you know if it affects lions? I haven't been able to find anything online that suggests that big cats are affected :( 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hi, I would support if the chance of lethality was lower. There are adult animals with Scoliosis, and Scoliosis varies with each individual. Some cases it progresses into the 80+ degrees of curvature, others it can be under 20 degrees. Worst case, in the 80 Degrees, it could harm organs and cause damage to the spine. I myself have it! I'd love to see it in the game, but not directly lethal.... Facts on scoliosis: It can develop at birth, in puberty, or in adulthood. It can be passed down by either of the parents. It can cause chronic pain, and in a large curvature can risk paralysis. Could even make it mutation that affects later, see 8) In varying ways. 0 players like this post! Like? Agreed with Novaturen. I have scoliosis as well - it's not really a lethal condition. I love the idea of having it in-game though! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think there should be a couple of variations, non-lethal and a lethal one, just depending on how affected the cub is ^-^ supported ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd only be able to support this with changes. As just discussed on the chat, Scoliosis has varying degrees of curvation in the spine. If this were to be implemented I would like to see it in 5 separate but equal mutations - going from 10% (this mutation hardly affects gameplay and is only a slight change in line art) to 50% (this mutation affects gameplay SEVERELY and has a big change in lineart). It shouldn't be fatal, excepting in extreme circumstances (perhaps the 50% curvature lion will only live so long). It should affect, however, a lionesses ability to hunt (if she has more than perhaps 20% curvature, she cannot hunt), a lions ability to patrol (same as before), and a lion with Scoliosis should perhaps not be allowed to become king if the curvature is above 20%. Plenty of people and animals get Scoliosis that hardly affects them that doesn't end in a premature death. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I was just typing out pretty much what cake said. ^^^ I have less than a 10 degree curve and it rarely effects my daily life at all. Would support with changes, as it stands right now? No support. 0 players like this post! Like? |

How about it could possibly be a randomized generated number of how bad the curvature is and lethality is based on that 0 players like this post! Like? |

As a human being with scoliosis, I don't support this being a mutation. 0 players like this post! Like? |
