This mutation has 2 pupils in the eye.
With this mutation the lineart of the excisting lion(ess) can be used. Only thing they have to change are the eyes.

Appears at: ? (when eyes are open)
Affects game play:
Factor 1; no = not blind
Factor 3; yes = completly blind (no hunting/patroll/king)
Factor 2; yes= partly blind (no king. Higher change on faillure hunt and patroll)
Lethal; no

I assume you mean the mutation will appear at the cub young stage for those that have the extra cub stages. It will appear at the cub cub stage.

The cubs open their eyes art-wise when they're at the cub young stage (2-5 months). So, in-game, this mutation could show up at 2 months (even for those with no cub stages).

Or the mutation could just be revealed at birth, which is simpler especially because, without the cub stages, the cub is born with their eyes already open in their art.

Quick@ that is true. But it would be nice to have some mutations that can show up at a differetn age than birht, adol or adult.

Is it even going to be visible? Let's be real, eyes on LD are like ten pixels each, and if you can't king a lion with this mutation it's not going to affect the explore eyes.

I'm kind of on the fence, but leaning towards no support.

There are others with eye muations to. So yes it is posible. I do not get what you mean with this.: if you can't king a lion with this mutation it's not going to affect the explore eyes. I do not understand it....

I mean the eyes you see on the UI when exploring. One of the mutation variants(?) you listed states that a lion with such mutation couldn't become the king of a pride, thus making polycoria impossible to appear on the Exploring UI, which is, arguably, the only in-game art of a lion's eyes big enough to effectively display the mutation.

As for current eye mutations, they affect the entire eye and/or the area around it. Splitting the iris is a much more minor alteration to the lineart, and thus practically invisible.

[pfm] (#58785) @ that is the truth. 2/3 are partly/completly blind. 1 could be king and you could see it on the explore.

I like this idea. Existing lion art can be used, and the mutation only has slight disadvantages to suit it and not some huge defect in its abilities to do stuff, plus there variations of that so it's abilities can be very limited or only slightly held back.

I imagine this would look quite cool with poses, where the eyes are directed at the onlooker.
Supported. :3
