I enjoy the new version! The blocks dropping are much faster, which is very nice.

However, the blocks don't respond as easily to dragging. It takes a few times to get the blocks to move. The issue seems to mainly be a bit of lag after other blocks have dropped.

(I am at 100% zoom and don't have an issue with moving blocks on V1)

I agree with Dete, there's a lot of lag when trying to drag blocks, and it sucks when you're attempting to think fast. xD

Unlike Dete, however, I don't like the new speed of the blocks at all. Their choppy motion compared to the older smooth one makes my eyes feel more disorientated, which hinders my attempts at ultra scoring.

I do like the addition of a pause button though, that is a very nice.

Yeah I like the speed but yeah, I do agree with Lalasa that it could be smoother. Playing again, the choppiness is pretty apparent.

I like this version of the game a lot. It looks a lot more polished, and makes the previous (current) version look very much like a beta.

I also agree with Detective, I had some issues with blocks responding to being dragged as well. I'm fine with the speed and the animation looks nicer, but I could see how it's disorienting.

The pause button was pretty much a necessary addition so that's great that it's there :)

This is not related to the current game at all, but a possible improvement I could think of would be this: If you pull off a large combo (for example, 4+ tiles), you get a small time bonus. It doesn't have to be huge, just enough to be a little bit helpful. This kind of thing seems common in match-3 games so I thought I'd bring it up as a possible addition!

I like the new version. I'm glad to see a mobile version being implemented too, so yay! But it seems like I'm getting stuck way more often with no available moves to make in the newer one. And halfway through the game, sometimes it will cease all functionality. I could still see the tiles and the timer still counts down, but I couldn't click or drag them anywhere. It's like the game itself just broke...

Also, I like that it moves faster because it saves time, but for me it goes so fast that it's disorienting and confusing, and I don't know where the tiles moved to or from, which makes it harder to play since I can't figure things out. So maybe have it faster than the old version but still dial the speed back just a notch or so?

Other than that, it's great! I love the addition of the pause button too!

I'm not trying to criticize it, because I'm really excited and happy about this, but just wanted to give some feedback to help improve it. Keep up the awesome work! c:

Man, this Beta version is a huge improvement over the current version. For me the current version is non-calibrated and only works at 75% zoom so it's very hard to click and drag anything.

Beta works at 100% and is very similar in movement to the Bejeweled series, which personally makes it easier to play because I grew up with it and I expect those movements of the tiles. Love the pause button! In response to Thalath yeah I think they are going to add combo rewards later on in development.

I'm looking into reducing the drag delays. The way it works right now is that it delays a bit while the animations finish, otherwise blocks start getting stuck. I'll see what I can do, though! :)

I agree with Amrik about the speed. I'm also a huge Bejeweled player and lover so the increased speed is definitely something I like. A downside would be that it would confuse people and I know that even though I am more used to this speed, I found myself desperately searching for a match for a few times.

I also ended up testing the beta version on 3 devices and 3 browsers and all of them reacted the same way really. They all had the drag delay and it got pretty long to where I was staring at the screen for a few seconds just trying to drag the same tile maybe 5 or more times until it actually moved.

I also messed with the zoom a bit (for chrome because I had to otherwise I'd be moving a tile in the upper right corner instead of in the center where the cursor is) and it seems to be working fine now to me. Then again, I only really tested it on Microsoft Edge because it worked before on 100% zoom and I was curious. Though the problem with Edge before was the fact that it moved a tile diagonal and to the right of the cursor. That's fixed in V2 though so I'm happy.

Overall, I definitely like V2 especially because it works on mobile and I am a huge mobile player.

I had a lot of problems with V1 (same issue as Ser Isles), but this new version works perfectly for me. I can actually move the blocks that I want to move and this new version is a lot smoother for me.

On mobile this is working great, for me anyway - on iPad which is how I play LD 90% of the time it works beautifully. No problems with dragging tiles at all. The only very slight pause I get is after tiles have finished dropping/moving there's a tiny pause before any tiles can be dragged again, but it sounds like that's what has already been mentioned above as a deliberate pause after animations to stop blocks getting stuck, and it's no big deal.

Great work btw, and a big improvement on version 1. Thanks for all the updates :)

The way the tiles fall (After you've matched and cleared a few tiles) makes me feel rather nauseous if I play for too long xD - for me it looks very choppy, like the tiles are skipping several frames as they fall. Other then that, it runs a lot better on both my tablet and computer. Good job you all! ^^
