Goodie Bags.

The curse of the December gifting event, where the data connected to goodie bags decided to get itself erased when it was gifted via the event.

So what does this mean?

Anyone who received a goodie bag in the gifting event (sent via the event tool) has had their bag replaced with 1 GB. Those who already opened the bags and got the glitch have had 1 GB credited per bag to their account.

If you sent a bag that was worth more than the 1 GB compensation

I am interested to hear from people who SENT bags to players. If you SENT (not received) a bag in this glitch and can remember the:
* Name of the bag
* Who you gifted it to (including ID)
* What the bag contained, exactly

Please PM me, Kitty (#2) with this information. I should be able to check this against the database to see if it matches up with a broken bag, and if so, recover the items. This will mean the recipient will have to forfeit the 1 GB compensation they received though, but I hope that's understandable. :)

I do NOT need to hear from people who received bags, and please do not PM your senders asking them to PM me. You can't know what a sender has sent you, and you can’t give me the information I need to hunt it down, and the sender may have sent you items worth less than 1 GB, so it's rude to hassle them.

This will be a very large amount of work to recover from PMs as it has to be done manually but since it sucks this bug happened and can only be my fault I am more than willing to work through it all and try to recover what I can. Unfortunately, there is not enough data available to piece together things automatically or I would have just wrote a script earlier to do it all for me based on user log information. But it is possible to hunt it down if I am handed the information above.

I'm very sorry this happened, and it shouldn't be happening again next year.
