here are a few new mutations i want to add to the list that might be different from others. Mutations are just changes to the genetic codes of animals...but there is some that are not mutations but rather dissabillities. Here are a few examples of ones i want to see. Feel free to comment what i should edit about these and if you can, support this forum.

Amniotic Band Syndrome/Three legs- This is when the Umbilical cord gets entangled around one of the animal's legs, causing the leg to degenerate during its fetal state. This causes the leg to rot off before birth and give the cat 3 legs. Because it is BEFORE birth, the wound is already closed off, so human intervention is unneeded. I believe the only restriction for this is for lionesses to have lower hunt success rates or unable to hunt at all.
Example of a kitten with this

Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia/ Drunken Sailor syndrome- Depending on the severity, this mutation is not that serious. It accures when the Cerebellar is under developed in the brain. This key part of the brain controls movement and balance. Cats with this are known to stumble, jerk and twitch at random times. They wobble and tumble, but can still run and walk. They're called ,'Drunk cats' because their movements resemble a drunk man walking. The cats are in no pain or stress and they live normal lives aside from a few bumps and scrapes. But because the cat does not even realize that anything is wrong, i think the most would be wrong would be higher percent of cub injury if not taken care of a broodmother and/or less hunting success.
This video is an example of moderate CH

Down syndrome- Yes, cats can develop this too. This birth defect causes slower mental growth, leading to learning disabilities. In cats, this also could spell harder breathing due to their scrunched up nose and dry mouth due to their constantly open jaw. Sadly, I see this as a fatal mutation for a number of reasons. 1) It takes a lot of patience and trail/error to help humans with down syndrome and i sadly think in the animal world, there is just not enough they can do. 2) with a scrunched up nose, they could have breathing troubles and could possibly suffocate. 3) with them unable to learn as quickly as others, lion cubs will be vulnerable to predators; not having the right instincts to run. somewhere between 3-6 months, I think cubs will die either from suffocation or a predator attack.
An example of a big cat with Down Syndrome is Kenny

Split nose- This deformity is a bit tamer. Its when the center of the nose does not combine the two nostrils together, giving the appearance of two noses. Thankfully, there is no dangers to the lion's health.
Example of a dog with this

'Winged cats'- This is not real wings, but it is the only way to describe it. It is when there are extra flaps of elastic skin near their sides. It has the appearance of wings due to the flaps overhanging. There are little to no danger.
An example of a cat with this

Myostatin- This is when there is an overdose of Myocytes in the muscles of animals, giving the creature a muscular, almost bodybuilder look. there are no known lethal tenancies for this mutation.
An example of a dog with another dog of her same breed

Please help and support any of these mutations and give me feedback~!

I like the Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia / Drunken Sailor Syndrome. I think it would be cute if the pose was in mid-fall. (Not trying to sound mean or anything of that sort.)

Supporting! Though the elastic skin that causes wingedness would make the skin really sensitive to tears, so I could maybe see a stat reduction with that mutation?

I support all except the drunken cat one. I am not sure how it would show in the pose other than an awkward walk, and it seems like it would make lions really unable to do anything... even raise cubs. I do really like that muscle one, it's so odd XD

Down Syndrome is an exclusively human thing - as it appears in the 21st chromosome. (Big cats only have 19) Kenny is an example or inreeding white tigers too much. Otherwise, full support!

Seconding Diablo- I've supported this, but Down Syndrome is exclusive to humans. Kenny is a severely inbred tiger, as all white tigers are, really (white tigers do NOT naturally occur, and all white tigers are bred from one individual that exhibited a mutation). An example of a Kenny-like lion is the suggested mutation, which has had a mock-up by Xylax, of underbite/brachycephalic lions!

I agree with fortmax, and while that cat is so cute with Drunken Sailor Syndrome, it would really just be a new pose of a lion falling about. While super cute, it should maybe just be a pose and not a mutation?

i like all of the muties...
I could see the DCS being a mutation because if the lion has it, maybe it couldnt hunt/patrol and couldnt be king? Just for the fact it would be really hard for a king to have that. but also, the pass rate could be SUPER low, like instead of 5%, maybe 3% just because it seems people dont like it as much.
I personally think it would be cute~

I think this would be an okay art representation for DCS
for females the front legs are splayed out and head is lowered, male lions have legs sort of opened up or awkward legs and a lowered tilted head.
Cubs don't sit up until the adol stage, sitting with legs pushed forward and outwards, males head tilted females head lowered, (just for there to be a difference between the two)
1st cub stage is same as is.
2nd stage is the same but bigger with head off the ground and eyes open.
3rd cub stage is same as second with one paw off the ground and open mouth like a smile.
Let me know if you like it or have something to add or change!
