I had an idea for an item similar to the Ochre Gnawrock, only instead of guaranteeing the marking you choose, it "blocks" a marking you choose from being passed on to your cubs.
I think it'd be a lot easier for mass breeders to have that instead of having to acquire multiple Marking Removers. I do not have an idea about what to call the item, or where it would be available. Maybe it could be in an event shop, like the Ochre Gnawrock?

The marking removers would probably be cheaper and easier

Honestly this sounds like a really good item! It shouldn't be nearly as expensive as ochre gnawrock, since it's blocking a marking rather than giving a marking (so basically just a marking remover for an entire litter, if I understood right). Yeah, sounds good to me!

-slams support button-

Nothing like finding a lovely stud and seeing he's got marozi on a slot you'd prefer a nicer marking in and then you've gotta go elsewhere. I love this idea so, so much.

I support! Though marking removers would be easier, I think that it would really help advanced breeders with avoiding unwanted markings. So in a way it may be worth it’s expensive price.

i think they would decrease value of marking removers, so it would be a hard sell. However, if they made the item super expensive, similar to gmo cows, it could be an applicator that "blocks" a marking for say, ten breedings then that would be fine. Just my opinion.

Dragon Girl, thank you for your input.
It actually does make more sense for it to be a more expensive item! I thought about it with mass-breeding in mind so it probably would be at an "advanced" price.

I mean, if it blocked *several* litters then I'd be fine for it to be more expensive, but if it's only for one litter it'll be cheaper to buy 1-4 marking removers (worst case scenario 8 if you have a DU, I guess) ^^ Either way I still support.

I've been trying to figure out exactly how it would work. I think avoiding the cost of Marking Removers would be more of a "bonus" if anything. I guess it'd be more of an item that isn't really "necessary" unless you have a breeding goal in mind, like when breeding for dwarf lions and such.
