 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

@Skyfall The cub walks up to Rennegade, saying “I’m Firelight! I’m the best fighter ever!” To prove her point, she tries to pounce on another cub, but accidentally jumps too far and ends up leaping over them and landing in a somersault. Mnyama laughs. “Yes, you can certainly take her. If you think you can handle her energy, that is!” @Jewel Fazbear Khanya hurries over to examine the cubs. “Oh, poor babies,” she says. “Of course we can take them. Im sure they’ll find homes quickly.” (Yeah the old thread got locked so I had to make a new one. You can send those cubs to me and I’ll put them in the den) 0 players like this post! A short maned male and small cub with odd markings walk slowly up. The cub seems extremely excited and is jumping up and down. "Lollipop! Are we here yet?" She asked. "Yes, darling Strange. Of course we are.. I never get lost.." Lollipop, the male purred, nuzzling Strange, the cub. He walked to the three lionesses watching a group of cubs playing. "Hello there. I am Lollipop. I have brought my youngest cub to find a friend, since the other cubs won't play with her. She is lonely.." He said as he approached the three. Spark looked up from where he was playing. The pretty cub that stood next to him seemed to be waiting for a response. “Oh, hi! My name’s Spark. Are you guys here to adopt me?” he asked. One of the broodmothers came up to them and nodded. “Yes,” she said, “they will be your new family.” Spark squealed in excitement and chased after the lion and the cub, following them to his new home. 0 players like this post! Charlotte wandered into the adoption den feeling both hopeful and worried. What if she didn't find any cubs that she could love forever? And what if she did, but they wouldn't love her back? And what about what happens when she finds the perfect son or daughter and takes them home? Will she be a good mother? Gypsy, the Queen and Charlotte's closest friend sensed the female's nervousness and said, "Cherry, calm down. You'll be a great mom, and your adopted cub will have a great home and an amazing family." Charlotte knew these words were true, she was a broodmother, after all. She knew hot to take care of cubs, despite being unable to have her own. Being infertile was the greatest frustration the lioness has ever had to overcome, but it seemed she still hadn't completely overcome it. But now, finally, she might have the chance to feel completely content. Taking a deep breath, Charlotte stepped into the den and glanced around at all the beautiful little cubs. Just like her, all they wanted was a loving family and a stable home. Charlotte knew how that felt, she had grown up an orphan, moving from group to group, pride to pride. Her eyes locked onto one adorable little girl, her fur shining in the sunlight and looking extremely playful. She walked up to the cub, whose name was Ariel, and began to talk to her. Meanwhile, Gypsy walked toward Khatiba. After introducing herself, she asked if Charlotte could adopt Ariel, and take her to their pride. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The large lion passed through the Savannah, his thick, ebony man twisting softly in a warm breeze. He had embarked on this long journey for one reason, and one reason only. One of his favorite lionesses had lost her previous, and first, litter. She had fallen into a dark depression, inconsolable by both veteran mothers who had suffered the same fate, and her best friends. Not even Wino could lift her spirits. He had heard tell of a pride who gave cubs away to those who would best care for them, and Wino felt confident that of he could bring a little bundle of fur into his dear lioness' life, she would find joy in living again. When the muscled male finally caught sight of the den he approached the first lioness he saw, Kahnya. "Hello." He rumbled, his voice low but soft. "I have heard of cubs for adoption. One of my lionesses has recently lost a litter, and she has fallen prey to a dark cloud. I feel a child would best help her cope, and bring her a joy I, and no one else, could produce." Wino's soft eyes fell upon a cub with striking green eyes. A little female. Her tenacious joy as he tussled with other cubs brought a smile even to Wino's scarred face. He looked around and looked straight at the sun and his eyes teared up. "I really hope that rogue didn't lie to me about this 'adoption center"." He said to himself while he started jogging. He looked around and finally found it. He walked into the giant clearing and looked around to see if there was anyone to catch his eye. He seen this adorable cub and started studying her for a while when a beautiful lioness walks right in front of him. "Uh h..hello there dear, is she available for adoption?" Haliewa entered the shelter. His heckles up as he traces the different cubs with his eyes. Two little girls and a boy sat alone catch his eye. He approached only slowly, trying not to scare them. He watches their movements as he comes close. He caught sight of a tag around there neck. Silver, Copper and Jack. He nodded, picking the three up by the scruff to see who he must talk to. Wino hummed a reply, already absorbed in the little cub. What beautiful marks she had. "She's perfect!" He exclaimed, when she finally arrived at his side, and his nuzzled her with a head that was roughly as large as she was. But before he left, he had one last thing to add. Growing serious, the king met eyes with Khayna. "Thank you, thank you so much. This means the world to me and my pride. If you ever need anything, just ask for Wino."
