 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Goldenshine had heard rumors of a lion adopting out homeless cubs. He needed more cubs for his pride as it was still rather small.. He saw a golden brown lioness with amazing markings nearby and padded up to her. "Hello. Is this where the cubs are being adopted?" He started. "I am Goldenshine and I need I lioness cub." Padded softly through the dry grass Wino spotted the familiar den and his eyes fell upon Kahtiba. He approached quietly, a soft smile on his face, the dark worry that had weighed him down on his last visit lifted. He appeared refreshed, and calm. "Good morning, my friend. Might the fine cub Blaise be up for adoption? I'm looking for rarer, more striking markings." His soft blue gaze fell upon the striking cub. "And she fits the criteria perfectly. Mane Burst traveled across the sandy desert looking for something to do. His eyes gazed upon a shelter for cubs. After searching for anything interesting in his long exploration away from his lands he finally noticed something much better than simple grass and rocks. He walked to the shelter to take a closer look at the possible cubs he could adopt for his ever growing pride. He left for quite a while causing most of his pride members to leave but a few stayed or came back once they found that he returned back into the pride. A large monochrome lion made his way into the shelter for the cubs. Icy eyes glanced around the room until they fell upon Preztal, the male approached Mnyama with obvious intent in mind. He sat beside her respectfully and looked to the cub, "May I take this young one home? She'd fit rather nicely in my pride." The male had red stained fur around his face, paws and underbelly, as if blood permanently stained his fur. But his eyes showed no mal intent, just wanting new blood within his pride. A large red male ran across the savanna and stopped in front of a giant clearing full of cubs and adolescents. His orange eyes ssweeping across the clearing for his first adoption.
