Hi there! Having trouble with finding a Heir, to replace your ol' King? Whether you're looking for a Guide on Statreplacing, or just general King Retirement, I'm here for you!

*Please make sure you read this Guide over, as it will explain everything on Statreplacers, Markingreplacers, and overall retirement.*

Let me know if this Topic has already been created! I'm hoping this will be a more, newer, improved Guide for all of you.

Now, let's begin..

Retirement
Retiring your Old Man! He's lived his days, through thickets and thorns. It's about time he retires to the Elder's Home, eh? I completely understand! If you're looking to retire your King, then you'll need a Heir to replace him. You can get a Heir, by simply purchasing one that you find worthy of your liking, or raise your own offspring from your King. Retiring is when a user decides that their King is a wee bit too outdated, or expired rotten food. If you're problem is; ''My King is just ugly!'' Then I'd recommend not Retiring him just because he's not the most beautiful of all things. You can get Marking Applicators from Events, and a Random Marking Applicator from the Oasis for 1GB. Marking Applicators allow you to apply a Marking (randomly or of your choice) to your King in a chosen slot. Usually with chosen opacity, sometimes not. That problem can be fixed, too! You can purchase a Marking Opacity changer from the Oasis for 2GB, or from Monkey Business for 1800SB (way cheaper, btw). What if... My King has an ugly marking, that I don't want? You can also get a Marking Removal from the Oasis for 1GB! The Oasis has a wide variety of Applicators. Base changers, Mane changers, etc, that can help you pretty up your King!

Statreplacers
Pshhh, I know what're thinking. What even IS a Statreplacer? pretty simple to explain really. When you're looking for a Statreplacer, your ideal goal is to get a Heir with at least 5x the stats of your current King. For example.. Your Current King has 243 stats, and you're not happy with this. Well, looking for a Statreplacer is what'll fix that. You can buy a Heir with decent stats, at most with 500+, and patrol the hell outta em'! Gain stats from patrolling, or, constant training. This will higher up your Heir's stats. You're literally 'overwriting' your King's stats when you do this. Keeping his markings, or looks, yet, raising those stats. Mutations DO NOT pass on through this method! When you're using a Statreplacer, you're simply keeping the appearance of your current King, only replacing him with a Male of higher stats. Therefore, if you have a Primal King, and your Heir is a... Piebald, then when you retire your King and replace him with your Statreplacer, then the Primal mutation will not transfer. Your new King, with higher stats, will have the same appearance, and markings as your first King, except, he will be a Piebald instead of a Primal.

If you have any questions, please leave them here.

I have an heir that I really like, his markings, mutation and their opacity.

But...his stats are horrid. I am thinking, buy a high stat male 3000+

So make the heir I like the king, then retire him straight away to replace him with the high stat lion that I purchased and keep all the visuals that I like about my heir?

Will this work?

@Amber, it will replace the stats, but unfortunately it will also replace the mutation.

Big ooph, didn't know about the mutation stuff (makes sense). Now I need to decide if I want to sell my stat replacer or just use a MOD like I did on my current king.

In order to get your money's worth, I would only use a MOD on a first gen lion with significant stats (such as a 1k groupie) or a lion with extremely high stats.

Good advice, Guillo. Think I'll just use a MOD when the time comes on him -- gives me lots of time to save up and buy one that isn't Primal.

Hello ~

First of all, thank you for this guide! It puts a lot of things into perspective!

Though, I'm still confused as all hell about how to turn my plain old starter lion into a high stat, "pretty" marking'd, primal guy.

Maybe someone could break this down into dummy terms for me LOL.

Resources: my ugly starter lion, a "pretty" marking'd primal lion, a high-stat ugly lion.

The process, if I'm understanding correctly, would be something like:
1. Mark pretty (but bad stats) lion as heir
2. Retire king, promote pretty heir
3. Retire pretty heir right after and replace with high stats heir (but keep appearance the same)

Like... I get that you can replace the appearance AND stats or just appearance and keep the stats.... but it's the mutation stuff that really confuses me. What option would make mutations stick around on your next gen king? Is there an option where you can 'apply' a mutation on a non-mutated lion? Are mutations considered a stat or appearance thing?

Hi Sammie! It looks like you've got it down. You are completely correct with your list. Regarding your question about mutations, when you choose "keep appearance," the only things that change are your main lion's heritage, mutation, stats, and personality. Unfortunately if you are trying to stat rep, the lion with the high stats instead of your king is going to have to have a mutation.

There are a few ways around this however! There are piebald/patches mods, which are rather expensive (around 200-300 gb I believe). Something way cheaper that you can apply is a primal mod, which is about 10 gb! If you use one of these, you simply apply it to your statty lion/your replacer.
