So I've seen a lot of people grousing a bit about the rawhide quests, and I can understand that. I have a good-sized pride, and don't often get on enough to hunt up enough food to feed the whole pride, let alone when I have to sacrifice 10 uses of food (more if I get the quest multiple times) that I could be using to feed my lions. To make it less of a groan-inducing thing to get a rawhide quest, perhaps there could be some sort of encounter in explore that gives players a chance to collect rawhides in addition to turning your carcasses into one? Perhaps your lion runs across a sun-dried old carcass with an option to take the rawhide, along the vein of finding the lion skulls. Or perhaps your lion runs across some hides left out by a human/farmer/what-have-you and pilfers a rawhide or two out from under their nose? Idk, just wanted to throw out a suggestion here along these lines ^^ Got any suggestions/ideas/tweaks? Let me know what you think! |

Perhaps, too, the carcasses with more than one use could give the same number of rawhides as they have uses remaining? Otherwise, 1000000% support!  0 players like this post! Like? |

Supported. I don't personally have an issue with the quests (partly because I get all of my quests from Tefnut, who doesn't give rawhide quests) and partly because I hunt a lot. But I can understand why other people would have difficulties with it. Plus, I want rawhide to craft, but going to each piece of food gets... tedious. If, by some off-chance, they don't want to add rawhide into explore... About the only other suggestion I could make is to have a small chance of gaining rawhide when a use (or the last use) of a (large enough) food is eaten. Because rawhide is just the skin of an animal, not the meat/fat. So it makes no sense why you can't still eat part of the animal if you convert it into rawhide. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I could add the uses thing up into the description ^^ Thought I saw a suggestion for that, though. I'd support that anyhow. XD And yeah I get that too ^^ Right now I use up as many uses of the carcass as I can before rawhiding it. But I haven't been as active lately, and that's still ten uses away from my food that I could use to feed my lions. 0 players like this post! Like? |

What I find annoying is that you can make a rawhide with 5 uses and it still only counts as 1 in the quest. I try to use the carcass until only one use is left so I don't waste food but not always can I do that, like if all my lions are fed and I don't have any one use carcasses left to make rawhides with. I don't think there is any way to fix that but it's still kinda wastes food I could be feeding my pride with another day. 0 players like this post! Like? |
