I noticed that the option to make your heir take your old king's appearance is incredibly confusing. So, I thought I'd make a guide in hopes of clearing things up.
What does the new heir take from the old king if I made him take his appearance? Your new heir will take the appearance of the old king, that means he'll get:
If you're only thinking about keeping your old king's appearance because of any of these things ^. It's probably not the best option for you. How do I take my old king's appearance? When you go to retire your king, you'll notice the retirement options have a few dropdowns. The first one lets you choose your heir. The second dropdown will have "If you have an HEIR (Sub Male or Male Cub), would you like to use his appearance?:" to the left of it. It'll automatically be set to "use the appearance of chosen HEIR (cub's appearance)" which means the looks of your heir will stay the same as it is currently To take your original king's appearance, click on the dropdown, and select "Keep the appearance of my CURRENT MALE" which will give your heir the appearance of the king you're retiring. What's a replacement? A replacement is a lion that really isn't that attractive, but they have something you might want to utilize on your current king. Mutie replacement: If you have a mutie replacement, you retire your king and keep his appearance, that will make it so you have the same looks as your old king, but he'll now have the mutation of the heir. Stat replacement If you have a stat replacement, you retire your king and keep his appearance, that will make it so you have the same looks as your old king, but he'll now have the stats the heir had. Heritage replacement: If you have a heritage replacement, you retire your king and keep his appearance, that will make it so you have the same looks as your old king, but he'll now have the hertiage of the heir. I hope this helped some of you, if anything isn't clear feel free to comment. I'll be happy to answer any questions. 8 players like this post! Like? |

If your current king has more than the standard 10 markings but the heir only has 10 slots, do only the first 10 markings carry over if you keep the current kings appearance or all of them? 0 players like this post! Like? |

If you keep your old king's appearance when replacing him with a new heir, that's all you will keep. Only the appearance! If the new heir is dirty, your king will be dirty. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I've heard there are glitches but they're wonky apparently. Say you have a dirty lion and u glitch it's heritage, and breed to a lioness. I guess the cubs would show the full heritage? something like that. It's not exactly possible :( 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thanks! But if both your heir and your king's appearance is good, if you change the heir's appearance to the king's does that mean you cannot keep the heir's original appearance? 0 players like this post! Like? |

How many times can you keep the same king’s appearance? Is it forever or do you eventually have to change it? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I am thinking about buying a cheap Ferus as a heir and then keeping my current kings appearance. However, my current king is not Ferus himself, so would that wipe the Ferus mutation from the heir? 0 players like this post! Like? |
