So, I just came back from a very long hiatus, and now I would like to know if anyone would be interested in my art! And if yes, I would like help to decide the prices as well I only do traditional art, and I usually use markers or watercolors. Right now I’m drawing mostly humans, but I can draw animals too (even though I don’t have many recent animal examples) Anyway, here are my examples: https://m.imgur.com/a/ULmLSD3 Please keep in mind that I can take better quality pictures or scan the piece, and that some of these drawings are still WIPs haha 0 players like this post! Your art is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I would most definitely be interested in purchasing some in case you ever open a shop (: I'd say you could charge some nice prices for these! I usually base my prices based on the time that it takes me to do each piece, but considering that you use real live materials, you could charge a little more to help with the fee for your pencils and markers From personal experience, I figure that if you charge a lower amount, you get more commissions because they're more affordable- I've seen AMAZING artists sell their pieces for around 100GB or 100USD and they didn't get that many comments, sometimes none at all. It's really sad to see that because I know how underrated the market is, but that's just a suggestion I have for you ^^ By NO MEANS should you under charge for your art, though, it's absolutely incredible and it's also really sad to see such a talented artist like yourself be payed so little for their time and materials (: I'm not great at pricing, especially because I'm new to this market myself, but I'd say you can start off with lower prices and manage them as the time goes- I figure that works very well for me. Once you see how your clients are and what they ask for, you can stabilize your prices more ^^ For a start, I think you could do: Headshots for 8-12 depending on coloring, etc etc Busts for 12-16 Also based on coloring and time Half bodies for 16-20 again, based on coloring and the time it takes you full bodies for 20-25 same thing as the previous 4 You could probably double these prices or maybe even multiply them by 2.5 or 3 at some point and I think you'd still do pretty well (: I hope I could help! 0 players like this post! Thank you so much!! I was pretty insecure about my art and offering commissions, you made me feel much better about it! <3 I’ll definetly keep your price suggestions in mind! Thanks again for all the help! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm glad a could help! Your art is inspiring, I have so much trouble with coloring, especially with markers, and yet I see how well done your strokes are and I kind of get excited to learn that at some point ^^ Of course ;D If you ever open up a proper shop, I'd love to be pinged (if you do that, hahah) Hope you have a great day 0 players like this post! Your art is gorgeous! Do you have any examples of scanned work? (I'm a sucker for digital pieces). Additionally, do you have any examples of less-realistic styles for animals? If not, it's more than fine. If you were to open an art shop, I'd certainly be able to find something to commission you for. ^^ As for prices, I'd pretty much agree with the above-listed prices, I think, because I'm not too amazing at pricing things. 0 players like this post! @Argoo: thanks again!! I’m so glad you think that!! @Quinn: thanks!!I don’t have any scanned pieces now because my laptop broke, and I’m still trying to connect my scanner to my old laptop hahaha I have these less realistic examples, but they are pretty old (2-3 years) https://imgur.com/a/wwc8F0m 0 players like this post!
