This suggestion goes along in conjunction with THIS ONE. You MUST go see that first.



Opting in or out of flirting with males (a toggle in which you could choose to only flirt with lionesses, only flirt with kings, or be able to flirt with either) could be implemented similarly to how May does it with male groupies: using NPC dialogue.
Because February doesn't presently have its own NPC, I've used Ashkarn for this one. It doesn't have to be Ashkarn! Assume there's already been a short text in which you see him again and recall him as your striped buddy, then he walks up and converses.

"Hey, happy Valentine's Month, [Lion name]!" he stripey dude stammers shyly. "I guess you'll be flirting with some lions for the next month, yeah?"
You nod. The tiger perks up. "Cool, good luck! I... I hope I'm not being too intrusive when I ask, here, but... what kind of lions will you be flirting with?"

> [I'll flirt with females!]
"I see! You should give me some pointers on flirting!" he chirps excitedly.
- This will enable you to flirt with lionesses and have your lionesses flirted with. You will not be flirted with by kings, and you will not be able to flirt with kings.

??? > [I'll flirt with males!]
"I see! Maybe we can practice together sometime!" he chirps excitedly.
- This will enable you to be flirted with by kings and flirt with other peoples' kings. You will not be able to flirt with females or have your females flirted with.
- I'm not sure about this one. I'm thinking of cutting it out and just having the other three as options, because not having female flirting open really hurts your chances at getting HS. Thoughts/opinions?

"I see! You know, I can be your wingman if you need!" he chirps excitedly.
- This will enable you to be flirted with by kings and flirt with other peoples' kings. It will also enable you to flirt with lionesses and have your lionesses flirted with. You can only do one at a time, with a synced flirt timer, so that you cannot flirt with both a lioness and a king at the same time to get double the HS.

"I see! Maybe we can hang out this month, then, since you won't be as busy?" he chirps excitedly.
- This option would turn off the event, so there'd probably be a warning about that in parentheses next to it. You could go back in and turn it on again, though, just like you can with the May male groupie boost!
