I'm confused...Androgyny is the combination of masculine and feminine characteristics into an ambiguous form. In biology, a hermaphrodite is an organism that has complete or partial reproductive organs and produces gametes normally associated with both male and female sexes. Those are two seperate things. Are you talking about intersex lions? You would probably count them as lionesses, since you couldn't king them? I don't know, that is kind of hard. I know genderfluid lionesses have been discovered in the wild, where they are female, but they look and act like males.

I'm not intersex myself. However, I want to critique a couple things from what I know.

1) "H*rmaphradite" is an outdated term for "intersex". It is considered offensive in the intersex community.
2) I think you should note that many intersex individuals consider themselves to be neither male nor female in sex, and listing them as variations of male/female sexes is an offense.
3) You should specify a specific intersex condition. There are several. To name a few: Klinefelter Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, Tetragametic Chimerism, Swyer Syndrome.
^ All of these are results of chromosomal and/or hormonal differences from the typical sexes.
4) I'm not certain which of these, specifically, have been documented in lions or large felines. You would have to dig around for that.
5) They shouldn't take up one space from both sub males and lionesses.
6) Some intersex individuals can "breed". It depends on the condition.
7) They shouldn't be worse at hunting/patrolling than lions that fit the sex binary. This rudely implies that intersex people are "less capable" than perisex people.
8) I think you should read more about intersex people, their history, and their rights before making a suggestion like this. I suggest:

- Intersex Campaign for Equality
- Intersex society of North America
- Planned Parenthood
- LGBTQ Center

I do support the presence of intersex lions, so long as intersex individuals would be alright with it. I'm uncertain of whether they would feel stigmatized by having their sex be a "mutation" and with the naively bigoted parameters you set.

I personally think it has nothing to do with LGBT history or bigotry, and the mere notion of that is completely asinine. However, I do believe the mutation idea is underdeveloped. There are a few different types of hermaphroditism that you should at least look into. There's simply displaying traits of the opposite sex, and then there's actually having both sex organs. Any other variations simply wouldn't fit in Lioden. And even then, having both sex organs is a hard mutation idea to work with. It wouldn't really be displayable, because no one wants to see *junk* on their lion. It also would pose a small issue with breeding. Being both male and female on a sexual level, a decision would have to be made to decide if it should be counted as a sub male or lioness. If a lioness, you would be able to breed them to studs. If a sub male, you would not be able to breed them until they are kinged. Choosing role over the other would be unrealistic in the wild, but you really can't choose both on lioden based on how the game is set up. There are lionesses, and there are sub males. Sub males cannot breed until they are kinged. That's how it has always been, and I think that won't change anytime soon.

I do however like the idea of them being able to patrol and hunt, even though I see that too as unrealistic. It would be an interesting way to rack up some extra stats. No support, though it is a fun little idea!
