HEAR ME OUT BEFORE CLICKING PLEASE

So sub males. The pointless eye candy of the pride. Yeah, they can patrol but like??? Thats not really helpful 90%. Besides, only 1 can patrol at a time.

I think it would be nice to be able to make our sub males broodfathers, making them have 2 roles ( patroller or broodfather" IT WOULD TAKE UP A BROODMOTHER SLOT and act exactly like a normal broodmother but a guy. Thoughts?

Q & A:
God Mochi. Back at it again with the pointless suggestions. Whats the point of this, anyway?
Well, whats the point of broodmothers? To protect cubbins. But lionesses are much, MUCH more useful, you can breed them, hunt with multiple at the same time etc. You can patrol 1 sub male. 1. So basically since they are pointless you could help people out a lil bit. If I could have all my lionesses be hunters instead, I would but someone needs to protecc cubs

If you dont support PLEASE tell me why

okay I had an idea: what if Fatherly ones can protect 6 cubs like nurturing females can protect 6?

I support. I'd support even more if they were called BroodBros instead. XD

Would it take up a broodmother slot?

Either way I can’t really agree to it. If it doesn’t take a broodmother slot, that’s an additional 5+ cubs you can protect (depending on how many subs you have, it could be more).

If it does take a broodmother slot, I’d much rather have a Nurturing gal.

Plus, it doesn’t make much sense, since females are the motherly ones and true submale lions would most likely kill cubs that aren’t theirs (I understand that this is a game where there’s pastel lions and ghosts, but still).

Yeah, as I say in all caps it would be exactly like a broodmother. Besides, we have fatherly lions who I don't think would kill the cubs. Lionesses, actually, have been known to kill cubs of other prides

And just because you would rather have a female doesnt mean everyone would. It could be for lore, or lack of females, or just wanting to put a fatherly guy to good use

I support cause let's be real: submales are otherwise useless. You can't breed them. You can't send them hunting. You can't do anything with them, other than sending them on patrols, and even then, they don't bring anything back 99% of the time. They're just in your pride to look pretty or to potentially take over when your lion retires. And even when your lion retires, you don't NEED submales; you can roll a new lion.

I'm all in favor of this, as it gives them something to be useful for. I'd rather make my submales watch the cubs and free up more lionesses for hunting.

This is not how lion prides work, i really hate to say it.

The females hunt and take care of cubs, males do not.

Taken directly from a website about lions as fathers--

'But the funny thing is, contrary to popular culture, male lions do not take an active role in raising their children. In fact, they are pretty lazy.'

Submales, when they become king by overthrowing the previous one, kill ALL cubs in the real world. They dont care about any other cubs but their own. So im going to have to say no support.

Of course submales are going to be useless, they dont do anything in the real world anyway lol

I support this! I'd rather forgo being realistic if it meant giving more purpose to sub males.
