Pretty self explanatory, what if we had old age flavor text? Sorry if this has already been suggested. Once a lion gets past a certain age, maybe 13 years (as this is when the wrinkles start showing up), you can get flavor texts. There would only be set ones, not ones based around personality. Some examples are


Submale- you notice how [name] seems to walk with a limp lately after long patrols. Maybe some rest is in order.



kings- you remind [name] that they need to go out hunting, because the food store is getting low. they walk away muttering " stop being bossy old man" hey! You're not THAT old... right??



[name] always wakes up stiff and sore on cold mornings, you kind of feel sorry for them.

an adolescent was being sassy with [name]. they roll their eyes and you hear them growl " i cant wait to come back and haunt you" o-okay...

When you go to groom [name], you see that their muzzle is starting to turn silvery with age, you try to remember how old they are...

you see some cubs walk up to [name], asking why their muzzle is turning grey. they huff and say that its from eating to many nosy cubs. you chuckle as you see the cubs run away.

you overhear [name] telling the cubs about a magical place that they will go to when they die, and how they will get to tell all their decendents what to do. great, now all the cubs are saying they want to die...

[name] seems to be more exhausted than all the others after returning from hunting, you hope they are all right.

you see [name] patiently showing an adolescent how to properly crouch when hunting, for when they will no longer be around. awe, sad!

[name] seems to have a harder time controlling the cubs than normal. They seem so tired lately...
