Hi, I'm new and I have a lot of miscellaneous little questions, and I don't want to make a bunch of threads so here's all of them at once! If anyone could take the time to answer at least one of them, that would be great!

1. How much game time passes for each rl day? Also about how many rl weeks do lions live?

2. What does NCL mean?

3. What is a queen? I've seen some people mention them but I don't know how to get one.

4. How can I be more successful in fighting for territory slots? (I havent been able to do it at all)

5. Is there any way I can breed my lionesses sooner or do I have to wait for cooldown to be complete?

6. How do I decide what to price my lionesses at?

7. What do people mean when they mark their lions as fodder?

1. 1 IRL day = 1 month in game. A lion lives for about 52 weeks if you don't age them forward using certain items. Lionesses and sub males can pass away anywhere between 15 and 16 years old, and a lioness is only breedable from the time she's 2-14 (14 years exactly is the last day). Your king will be able to retire for free once he reaches the age of 15, be forced to retire at 16, and is able to live as a pride member called a 'grandpaw' until he's 17. Don't worry about time getting away from you, your lions won't age/get hungry/get bored/give birth unless you press the Rollover button that appears once per day at 2:05 Lioden time (LDT); you could miss one day or 100, and everything will remain the same.

2. 'NCL' means 'Newly claimed lioness'. They're the lionesses you claim in explore. Note that you may find 'chased' lionesses in explore. These are lionesses that other people chased away from their prides, and are identifiable by their colors and/or markings. Usually, they'll have a multitude of markings, but their bases are often the dead giveaways (most normal NCLs are golden/yellow in color). Chased lionesses usually have pretty good value depending on their looks, while normal NCLs are extremely cheap to get.

3. 'Queen' can have two definitions. For one, it may just be a certain favorite pride member. For another, sometimes, people want the leader of their pride to be a female lore-wise. While game-wise, a female king is impossible, one can quip a 'Lab test frog' decor, which makes any lion appear as the opposite gender.

4. To be more successful, fight lions with less stats that yours, specifically lower skill. You can check their stats on their main lion's page. You can fight lions who's level is a minimum 2 below yours or greater.

5. If your lioness is on a breeding cooldown, you can shorten it, but the items required to do so are very pricey. Yohimbe bark will take away one day of her cooldown, while a Shadow of death will age her forward by one in-game month, thereby taking a breeding cooldown day. If your lioness is not on a cooldown, but is not in heat, you can buy a Zebra heart from the Oasis shop for 2 GB, and bring her into heat with it.

6. This really depends on your lionesses. Normal NCLs are usually sold for 5-10 SB. If you're unsure, check the Trade center for lions similar to yours and try to make a good guess based off of what you see listed. It's important to keep all of a lion's features in mind when pricing, as each one will be important (ex: A primal lion with many markings might for 3 or so GB, while a normal lion with hardly any markings may go for 20 GB if they have a very rare base).

7. 'Fodder' lions are lions that are sold to be a means of karma or given to the Gorilla enclave. You get +5 points of karma when you send a lion to the nature preserve via the green button at the bottom of her page; and you get -5 points when killing her via the red button. The Gorilla enclave awards a special currency for its own shop along with energy, impression points, or experience points if you give them a cup matching the criteria you give them. Fodder lions are generally not favored by the community, and treated as very cheap, only useful for those purposes.

1. 1 month of game time passes.

2. Newly Claimed Lioness

3. They're not a part of the game mechanics, rather they're a favorite lioness of that player. Some folks dress their kings as lionesses and refer to them as "queens" instead. It's not really a feature, just a cosmetic choice.

4. (whoops skipped this one) you can upgrade your lion's stats and skill by fighting for skill and levelling up through explore battles, which will help your chances when fighting other players for territory.

5. You can use Yohimbe Barks to reduce a cooldown by 1 day per Bark, but they cost a lot outside of February (the month they're released) so generally they are not worth using.

6. That takes experience and studying of the market.

7. It means the lion is basically worthless to them, or wouldn't sell well, so they are listing it for the minimum that people tend to sell for so that it can be bought and used for other game mechanics which offer rewards, i.e. karma killing or reservation-sending, or using them for gorilla enclave quests which require various specific attributes for the cub that they send you after.

1- I really don't know this one.
2- NCL= newly claimed lioness
3- A queen is just a king that has a lab tested frog applied.
4-You should fight lions around your level BUT lower stats than you, if they have higher stats you will lose.
5- Yohimbe Bark shortens the cooldown by one day
6- https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429295264
7- Fodder means it's cheap and only to be used for killing or to give to the gorilla
