Hello!
I’ve been thinking of joining for a while, but it wasn’t until I saw someone else talking about the care package from today that I remembered to actually sign up!

Everything here looks super cool, but even after I finished the tutorial, I don’t really understand particularly much. It would be awesome if anyone could give me a few general tips, mostly with making money/experience and navigating forums. Really, though, I’m super excited to be here! You all seem so nice.

Hi! Welcome to Lioden!

A few tips on making SB...

- Keep your lionesses hunting every second of the day, and sell the food you don't need to monkey business. (Send them on hunts in the marshland squares to get bigger carcasses!)

- Play Lioden Trivia in the games section (found at the crossroads) on the difficult category, you get 20 SB for every correct answer plus you learn more about the game!

- Sell any small meat chunks, rib bones, and skulls that you don't need to monkey business, you can get them from explore

- Speaking of exploring, do it!!! Exploring is a great way to gain extra carcasses, skulls, and other items that you can sell to monkey business

- Participating in events is also a good way to earn money, because the items from each event sell for a decent amount after the event is over

- If you can, buy a base applicator to pretty up your king and set up his studding page!

That's all for now, ask me if you have any other questions!

Welcome to Lioden. Hope you enjoy yourself here

To start off, I recommend making any and all non-Broodmother lionesses hunters. The more you let them hunt, the more exp they'll gain, and the higher their levels, the better the chance is that they'll bring back larger prey that relieves more hunger and sells for more Silver beetles. You can always sell food to the Monkey Business shop (I advise in bulk, as it tacks a little bit more on), but it's better to sell to other players. Carcasses that have several uses will often sell for about 10+ SB per use.

Since it's May, there's a special item in the event shop called a 'Lion Scrotum'. It's pretty expensive, but if you grind, you should be able to get enough for a couple. Join tournaments and when in explore, claim lionesses and fight lions if they remark on the Championships. If you get a scrotum or two, then wait a few months, you'll be able to sell them to other players for several tens of GB. This trick works for most 'high-tier' event items, mostly breeding items and applicators (just hover over the item with your cursor, or tap it if on mobile to see a description).

When it comes to saving SB, go to your hoard and make 'Bundles' to avoid temptation. I do not advise buying territory, rather fighting other lions for it (it won't take any from them, don't worry c:) as it gets pretty expensive.

All in all, the core knowledge you need is to know the economy, which you'll learn with time. To price any item, go to Monkey Business, and in the top right you'll see an Item Catalogue, simply search for any item, go it its page, and you'll be able to see if there are any branch sales or trades for it. From there, you can make an educated guess at its value if others are selling it.

Okay, thank you! Are there any items that I would get from hunting or exploring that I should try to sell here, or should I just give everything to Monkey Business?

Edit. Oh, okay! Looks like I got a response while I was typing this up.

My advice: Hoard anything and everything. You never know when something is going to pay off big time. It does slow down your gains, but can be a massive jackpot. If you do want to sell things you find in explore, always make sure to price them in the economy before selling to the monkey, as the monkey will almost always pay a lot less. Gems, Elephant/Lion skulls, herbs, and event-exclusive drops are good tickets to sell to other players, though you may need to wait until the right month.

In my personal experience, even hoarding the 'junk' items like Large rocks and Underbrush pays off. Last September, people were scrambling for those and Lion skulls due to an update to that event, requiring a large amount of them for the new quests. Recently, the staff has announced that the completion of complicated quests during July can earn one a highly valued applicator, called 'Interstellar remnants'. No one knows what'll be required, but if you have a hoard full of an item that's required for said quests, you can cash out.
