So I was talking about how bad it floods where I live and someone had brought up how bad it was where they lived and I just thought.

What if we had a mini event, every selected months, that causes extreme flooding in the game.

I've been actually extremely happy with how the weather system is and how flood pit works and I kinda just thought "we should get more decors" and then someone said something about their dog possibly having Swimmer's Syndrome.

And thus, the idea for the small event started.

Basically the idea for the selected month's. When it becomes rainy season, there's a toggle on and off button for an event. You can collect small items that (ex: broken decors-basically trash of a random decor, unusable- ect) or you can gain items that pop in the flood pit (ex: water reeds, camouflaged snake ect). And more chances to find lionesses*. Which is where swimmers syndrome appears*2. Ncls with crb can *only* breed a swimmer cub, but of course it has the chance of being really rare. You would have to be dreamboat to get the crb, just as any other way to get a crb.

*check for Interactions to get extra details.
*2 check Swimmers Syndrome for more details.

Months selected -

April, May/june, July/October.
Only happens everytime it turns to rain season that month.
It kinda mainly rains during these months I guess? It can be totally changed and up to staff.

Items/decorations to be found:

Broken decorations, comes from about any event. It's broken. Unable to be used and basically just trash like rugged tire.

Any decor in the flood pit that is 350 sb.

Small things such as, colored stones, 5 sb, drowned carcasses, catnip, herbs and sometimes gems

Backgrounds are unable to be found, possibly a new background could be made.

Interactions (decors and items):
When finding trash - "this decor is all mangled up and has no uses left. . . discard or keep?
Discard "you give it to a near by monkey in hope to keep your pride clean"
Keep "you collected. Trash [decor]. It's totally useless. So you're a hoarder now?"

"You walk around the flooded river to spot something shiny in the water, you reach your paw out to -
-grab a 'decor/trash'!
-fall in the water and hear a nearby lioness snickering. How embarrassing.

"As your paws walk, you feel fog seem to settle in around you"
Fog/ground found!

Lionesses

"You're walking when you spot a lioness trying to climb out of a tricky situation, her sisters are trying to help!
Help or leave? (Note from mange: You really gonna fight lionesses that are trying to save their sister from falling off a cliff?)
Help - "+10 karma you help the sisters and they give their thanks, one seems to stay back though? Claim?"
Leave - "-10 karma you leave the lionesses with a cold feeling in your heart."
*note from mange!! Just click help to gain the karma, you can just walk away from the sister btw also you can just click explore if you dont wanna do any of that

(This has a higher chance to a crb, may take out)
"You spot a tired lioness not far away, she smells in heat!
Claim or leave
Claim - "You strut your stuff over and she seems to be intrested yet tired"(note from mange, this pops up in the flirting process)

Swimmers Syndrome

A very cute and deadly disease .
Yes. Cats can get swimmers syndrome. It happens a lot to short legged dogs so I just wanted to clear that up.

Anyhow some amazing info about the swimmers syndrome, and how the art should be made.

The ribs bow out, it causes the heart and other organs may be pushed into the pleural cavity and displace or decrease the air volume of the lungs. By the third to fourth week, surviving swimmers have not yet learned to push themselves up into a standing position. If the extended limbs, especially front legs, are moved at all, it is with a paddling motion to the sides.

"Without intervention, and often despite best efforts, they usually die anywhere from two days to four weeks after diagnosis or symptoms. More often it is sooner than later, according to the Bulldog people I have heard from.

When nursing (if it is able to get to the teat at all), the swimmer puppy may arch its back extremely in a backward movement to compensate for an apparent inability to flex at the neck." - Clicky the scource here

Basically the whole body would be splayed out, like a turtle. The ribs would be pushed out and the limps could be twisted weirdly. I havent seen many images of twisted limbs so not really?

I personally just want a floppy lil lion to name it Tortles Don't Like Plastic and get a surge of turtle decors guys.

More info -

"...swimmers is that they are always lying flat on the belly. If you lay them on their side, they will immediately return to lying on their bellies. This is what is known as the righting reflex. You can observe this by disturbing [waking] a sleeping litter of very young puppies and watching all of them right themselves. They immediately [turn to lie on] their stomachs and begin to look for a nipple. The righting reflex is the first response to nursing and the cause of swimmer puppies.”

Interactions With The Swimmer Cub

"You spot [] trying to walk around. It seems to be struggling. You speak with it's mother to see what you can do about the cub. She reports the cub may die."

"You come to see the cubs to see a []. It seems to struggle and flop around like a fish. Some of the broodmothers are asking to put the cub out of its misery."

"[] is being bullied by some of the adolescents by being thrown fish at it. You scare away those pesky teens and spend the day with [] until they fall asleep in your mane."

"You spot [] trying to walk. You decided to help them out and attempt to hold them, but also have them walk? [] tells you its okay and they thank you for trying before you two cuddle for a bit."

Death announcement.

"You wake to hear wailing, [] has passed away in the middle of the night. The cub died from being unable to eat and being unable to move/attacked by a few hyenas when they were trying to eat some food."

Art changes:
Cub stage only. Should look like a tortle uwu (totally can be in another pose)

Death:
Between 2 or 3 months.

Price (my opinion):
Should be about 300gb or so(when cooled down). They're rarer than a Sirenomela or other lethals so they should pricier.

Interaction ideas are welcomed! Along with *constructive* critism. Saying things like "that doesnt sound cool" isnt really helping me. I need you to tell me what is and isn't. And if this (the swimmers syndrome) has been used before I will cry. So please tell me.

Hnng. Tell me if I missed anything please. I'm about to do sketches on what I guess it could look like? I'm still unsure if this whole thing is a good idea. It's almost 12 am and I want to sleep. So all replies will be post poned until next rollover or so
