*The violet gaze of the scarred elder leader looked up into the fading stars as the midnight sky peeled back into a beautiful spectacle of pink, purple, and violet hues rushing forth as it gave way to the orange welcome of morning. The tattered old cat did his best to ignore the pain of sore pricking hunger, he and his fellow warriors needed to win back this territory in order for their survival. There was nothing more dangerous than a hungry cat who knew he had mouths to feed back in the queen's thicket. He surveyed his companions, knowing very well that anyone could end up a victim of their opposing clan if they chose to fight them today. He lifted his voice high enough for those around him to hear, hoping it would add more urgency to why they must win if a battle ensued today. " We will not provoke Stormclan further- we will stand as a united force for all of our clanmates that could not be with us today, but if we must fight we will back up our word with tooth and claw." It would not be long now before they would have to act for the sake of their clan.*

Warriors of the Dying Light is a new take on some of the old concept left by Erin Hunter's series. This story is about two clans who do their best in a cold, cruel environment in which they must do what they can to provide for their clancats- even if it means an attack for better hunting grounds. Both clans morals are set low by the disappearance of Starclan from their lives leading to violence between cats even at the Gathering. Though what they do not know is that the Dark Forest cats are what is ceasing the connection between them and their ancestors. With the help of Minkfur, he seeks to unite the two clans into the ancient clan of Tigerclan- convinced it is the only way for all of them to survive. Minkfur believes that Starclan has lost the right to lead and in its place the Dark Forest should reign. All the while, Littlestep is tasked in the search for the cats of the prophecy who will be the ones who can turn back the tide of the Dark Forest with the help of six amazing individuals through which them alone will be able to take down the darkness and revive the dying light of the ancient Starclan.

The clans
Stoneclan- a newly formed clan before the darkness who were formally seen as a band of rogues. They are led by Sablestar, an aging old war tom who is currently doing his part to reform his band of terror to the warrior code. They are currently desperate for territory, due to rogues plaguing their hunting grounds.
Stormclan- An ancient clan who just narrowly survived a deadly bought of Green cough which had ended the lives of their current deputy and leader as well as their medicine cat. After a year of trial, they are almost back to full strength ready to combat the newer clan- Stoneclan.
