Floodpit Information The admins discussed the issue of the Vredefort adventuring quest requiring Floodpit access to progress at one point and the entire month of August being absolutely dry. We have decided to manually open the Floodpit twice this month on August 14th and August 28th. The Floodpit will be open on these days only from 12am LDT to 11:59pm LDT. If you'd like to roleplay it, consider it a flash flood! ;'D
Several systems have received some much-needed TLC in today's update - let's check them out!
Brand New Achievement System! Achievements have been reworked from the ground up! Not only does this make it easier to add in new achievements - it also ensures that they are awarded much more reliably! Newly-earned achievements will appear at the bottom of your screen. You can click anywhere within the achievement's popup to dismiss it.
We have added in 2 new achievements categories: Events and Games! Any event-related achievements will be under the Events category, while any game-related achievements will be under Games. We have also added in 47 brand new achievements! Some of these new achievements are public, while others are super special and secret.  Have fun earning them!Along with this rework, several achievement-related issues have also been squashed. * The achievements progress bar should no longer show over 100% * Achievements for collecting a certain amount of items are now awarded at a much higher frequency than they were before * Selling items to Monkey Business should now correctly reward their achievements We are planning to add in a way to compare achievements between players for a fun competitive site addition - this will likely be implemented in a future update. TL;DR: Achievements Adjustments * 47 new achievements have been added in! * Newly-earned achievements will pop up at the bottom of your screen and can be clicked or tapped on to dismiss * Two NEW achievements categories have been added: Events and Games We'd like to give a big THANK YOU to all the players who suggested these new achievements over the years!  
Titles! Titles, too, should now be rewarded properly, as well as stay locked when you tell them to stay locked. On top of that, all titles can now be positioned before or after your king's name. Do you want to be known as "Maneater Fluffy", or "Fluffy, the Maneater"? As of today, you can now choose your title's positioning. We hope this will add to all of your fun roleplaying elements on the site.    Some title-related bugs were fixed with this update. * Sapphic is now properly awarded when equipping a Lab Test Frog to your king * Maneater is now properly awarded when you visit the Savage Studs page
Within each clan, there is now an activity log linked below the clan's details.  All clan members can view these activity logs. In a future update, if you guys request it, we could implement a toggle option to make the activity logs private so only clan admins can view them.  The activity logs work exactly like your own user logs: they are listed from newest actions to oldest, they are paginated, and you can search through them using specific keywords! Clan activity logs record all activity for a clan up to two months into the past. Other Clan Adjustments * Clan hoards have now been paginated to avoid massive clan hoards crashing browsers and causing issues with lag when viewing them.
Some time ago during a neighbourhood cleaning spree (picking up trash left by nasty people), an idea sparked in our heads to add some environmental effects caused by humans into Lioden. It is a reality we sadly live in and have to face daily - now, so do our lions. Today, we've added in eight new encounters: four are year-round, and four are August-only. They will have some choices and various outcomes. Some will affect karma, some will give currency - we'll let you discover them and add them to the Wiki soon.
We'll be adding in more of these from time to time. Perhaps it will inspire you to do something a little extra for our planet. <3
A new combo base is now available to be bred during special circumstances! Ember is a Golden Dark Countershaded Special base that can be bred from now on year-round from the following factor bases: Factor 1: Blazing, Fiery Factor 2: Flint, Pewter You'll need to breed a Factor 1 base to a Factor 2 base in order to have a chance of breeding Ember. Obviously, breeding any factor base to Ember, or even breeding Ember x Ember, will also have a chance to produce Ember. Ember Ember Ember.

Pretty disappointed by the Ember base (we wanted a gold dark cs, and we got yet another ugly red base) and the fact that it’s gold but bred by red x black. Did y’all make a typo, or is this actually serious lmfao But also! Positivity! I love the fact that we finally got the achievement rehaul we needed! And the change to titles is nice too (I assume you’re still working out the kinks on that)! The clan activity log is super helpful (thanks for the hoard pages too, it won’t kill my phone anymore), and I’m loving the new SS decors as well Admin Response: I am sorry you feel this way! While I appreciate the new base, odd as it is, I'm a bit upset that titles seem to be pretty bugged. All the even titles I spent - in some cases quite a lot - of currency on are gone. @Admin who responded to me Thank you for your response! However, just because there is "brown" does not mean it should belong in the golden category. Let me see if I can break down how I'm thinking this through, make sure I make sense.  First I just wanted to bring to your attention: What shows in this post and what shows in Showcase is different. I'm certain that the one in showcase is the finished file, and this preview is a previous version, as the Showcase one is more polished with the ember flecks and better blending. So the star on the topmost image I have is null - I was going to grouse about the blending on that part of the hind leg, but it's better on-site. I do still want to say, that just because the color color-picks to brown (in this case a deep saturated red) for the main body does not mean it belongs in a golden group. Not to mention that you already have browns scattered all across the map, something I have previously contested, but this brown is incredibly warm, far past the warmth of yellow and into the heat of reds. The fiery red of the topline negates any gold tones that the body may have had, even with that smidgen of cream right before you go into the white of the ventral. The red is simply too overpowering. In comparison to other colors on the color chart, there is nothing even nearly as red in the golden grouping. Topaz, Fulvous, and Ochre are close, but in those cases you can either see how the golden yellows overpower the reds (Topaz) or they're too diluted to go into red, instead going into that warm brown and golden territory (Ochre and Fulvous respectively). Ember is dark, and that darkness plus it's vibrancy in its reds takes it out of the Gold category and places it in the Red, in my eyes. Thank you for your time. EDIT TIME: 1) So. you're telling me that unblended, white-shined, scruffy looking thing in this thread is the proper base? Oh. oh. 2) The whole look is not brown. Perhaps we're viewing these colors differently, but to my eyes, this does not read brown. It reads red. That cream lining does not read gold, that white ventral does not read gold. Those two factors read cream. That red topline does not read gold, it reads red. This is too dark and too warm to read gold, which has a very specific set of criteria that cannot be interfered with. It's too dark even for the dark goldens, and it's too saturated to mix in with the true dark golds like Chatoyant or Anubis or Ornament. 3) Eh. I'm focusing my efforts on The Great Genetic Reorganization, which is my proposal to mess with the whole color sorting in regards to visual perspective. I've messed with making bases, made a Chaos Snake one, but it didn't gain much traction. So I'll stick with the above, and stick with arguing that this base is not golden. Edit EDIT: 4) Can I ask how this base's speckle markings were harder than something along the line of Demiurge? Admin Response: 1. We uploaded wrong, outdated file for Neutral, which has been fixed - for some reason players thought this was intentional, mistakes happen, like bugs. The speckles version isn't ingame because it was too hard to reproduce efficiently :) 2. It's not just the colour that picks to brown, it's whole look that is pretty dark golden and fits to the genetic chart. It has red accents because of the factor bases, and has grey accents because of the other factor bases. 3. We hope that you make a base suggestion that will suit you if you dislike it - thankfully it's a combo base and you'd have to be very specific to breed it - easier to avoid if it not in your taste :) 0 players like this post! Nah, it’s not brown. Y’all probably just wanted to be able to say you released a new gold dark base because some of us were annoyed that red medium was somehow considered “unloved” enough to warrant getting yet another base. So you promised a gold base in an actually unloved category and A) made it a red base; and B) made it a combo, which means that actually breeding it is more difficult than many players prefer, and ultimately won’t help out the category all that much.
