I'm not a fan of the new black idea. It's more of a dark brown than proper black.
It might not seem like a huge difference but it does make a difference in a design if its too warm or cool.
So I propose this colour instead.

It's just the dark part of ebony, changed from about RGB 40/37/37 to 37/37/37.
That's it. It's not really any darker.
It's not tinted blue or purple or red or anything.
It's dark enough to work just fine being completely neutral gray.

This is the colour alone and on Feralis over the new black, ebony, and onyx.
Both with lined versions.
