backstory: backstory: mbali was born to ekundayo and buhle, a huntress and a well respected guard in the darkwater pride. she was born right after her brother, gadisa-- they both shared the same odd look, though gadisa had more splotches of black all around him, meanwhile back on mbali it was mainly around her rump. buhle feared that because of their patch mutation, they’d have a hard time making friends.

but no, that wasn’t the case. the thing was, mbali and gadisa didn’t care about any other cubs than the pair of them together. they were, and are, still best friends to this day, inseparable silly siblings who will never stop tussling and laughing. nothing much or dramatic ever happened in their lives, really-- maybe they got some weird looks from other, non-mutated lions when they were adolescents, constantly bouncing up and down and rolling around. other than that, mbali’s living a wonderful life.

But, inside her hard exterior she's actually a very kind, gentle female who just wants to be accepted by her pride members.
