Lions of Thamsanqa is a discord based rp! Here is the lore to the rp server! The old, graying lioness pulled the cubs close, chuckling softly. “Now, dear ones; it’s bedtime.” The smaller one yelped in glee, and clambered onto the lioness’s head. “Tell us the one about the two prides, Grandmother! Oh, please do!” The cub begged as he pulled at her ears playfully. She chuckled, and pushed him off her head. “Alright little ones. Now, listen closely, for this is the tale of two prides, and how our world came to be.” Once, long ago, there was only darkness. Then a little spark of light popped into existence. Many more came soon after, and the stars came into being. Soon after, a group of stars clumped together, and they formed The Creator. The new god was clumsy at first, but after a while, he began to build with the raw material of the night sky. First, he made a globe and tore at it with his talons to create the oceans and rivers we know. Then, he made all the plants and trees. After a while of surveying his creation, he became lonely. So he made lions in the spitting image of himself, and created a beautiful paradise for them, filled with food of all kinds, animals to hunt, and beautiful places to raise cubs. He made two smaller versions of himself, one named Izula, and the other named Naledi to protect the mortal lions. The Creator went to sleep, confident that he had made a fine world for the mortals and that he could now rest. ___ After the Creator went to sleep, Izula and Naledi protected the mortals as was their duty, but after a few millennia, a male mortal was born. When he grew up, they both fell madly in love with him, and battled. While they were fighting, illness and pain filled the hearts of the mortals and the male they cared for. As Izula halted their fighting to catch her breath, they saw what misery and grief that their battle had caused for the lions they cared for. They went down to the Earth and found the mortal they both loved, standing over a limp, frail old lioness. When he saw the pair, he turned on them in a rage, accusing them of abandoning the mortal lions. He chased them away, out of the lands, because neither could bear to harm him. When the Creator woke up and saw the land’s devastation he was angry, and sad that his creations had allowed the world to come to that, so he went and found Izula and Naledi, and cursed them, making them mortal. When the now-mortal pair came to the valley, the mortal male did not recognize them, and welcomed them with open arms. The three lived together, and both Izula and Naledi bore the male cubs. For a reason not even the Creator knew, these half-siblings despised each other, and so when they grew, the children of Naledi left to live in the mountains after their mother’s death, and the children of Izula left to roam the vast plain, only coming together once each year to honor the Creator, Naledi, and Izula at the neutral ground between them.
