Ink dogs, Canis Inqus, are a species of scavengers, preferring to rely on their poison and cunning skills of finding carcasses instead of putting in effort to hunt down prey.

They are small, ranging from the size of a red fox to at most a medium sized dog. Their fur is short and can be groomed to slightly curl and shine, a quality sought after by breeders and pet owners alike and can drive up the price depending on the quality.

Their blood is a smooth ink-like substance, staining clothing so dark only the strongest bleach can remove the stain. Most Inqus are harmless, but it is rumored a few hold a cancer-like in their blood. The poison however is only harmful when injected, sprayed on open wounds, or through sensitive parts like eyes and therefore can be easily avoided with rubber gloves and lab goggles.
