The best way to do this sort of bid would be to create a trade, put some kind of junk in there as the item you are going to sell and name the trade “ x amount of leather beetles taking offers” make sure to set the trade to offers only rather than someone just buying it out for currency. If you keep bumping the trade regularly it should gain notice and people will start to begin making offers. When you find one you like, PM the player and they will tell you what they want you to purchase with the leather beetles, then to and accept the offer and purchase the items that they wish to use the currency for. Then just transfer those items to the players account

No, you cannot transfer event currency as an actual currency :(

But! You can still "sell" you currency; where someone bids on how much of it you have, and if they win/buy it, you buy what they want from the shop and send it to them!
