Milo was planning on visiting too but he was definitely familiar with the shop and it’s owner. He went in every morning and bought sweets to eat while he was patrolling. It was first year on the job and he had to admit he loved it with all his heart. His tail bounced happily as he made his way to the bakery. Charlotte was just pulling a freshly baked pan of cinnamon rolls out of the oven when her ears perked to the sound of the shop door opening, as signified by a little tinkling bell. With her mother in the supply room organizing boxes and her father busy mixing biscuit batter, she locked eyes with him and nodded when he tossed her a glance, shouted, “Customer! I’ve got it!” to her mother and rushed out front to greet whoever it was, pan cinnamon rolls still in hand. Her eyes locked on a uniformed leopard whom she was certain she had seen before, but didn’t know the name of, giving a chipper, “Good morning!” Then, not far after her, was Milo, whom she had definitely seen before, and knew well. Charlotte smiled warmly at both of them as she set the pan on the counter, wiped her hands on her apron, and slid behind the register. “Morning ma’am!” She nodded to Kisha. “And hey Milo!” She grinned at him. “How can I help you two today?” 0 players like this post! Milo gave her a hearty wave. He glanced at Kisha with curiosity. He had seen her around before but never spoke to her. His tail picked up the pace as he smiled at Charlotte. “I’ll have the usual but add some cinnamon rolls in with it!” He usually ordered only banana muffins but the sweet scent just had him captivated. “Get her stuff out first though! She usually didn't wear clothes like this, but as an intern she needed to be professional. She was scrolling through her phone for another song to play. Something that would distract Mindy from the bustling streets, but you can't just exactly lift the stress of a rebellion and your job off your shoulders. She walked towards The Dome. The place where Pi lived. Seeing him everyday was normal to her, but to others it was a blessing. Mindy had to protect him, it was her job as his friend, but she also needed to protect her aunt. She landed on a song that she enjoyed. 7 Rings Ariana Grande. Perfect. She hummed as she walked, the rabbit bouncing with eeach happy step. Time to head to work. Hanson stood in line and bounced in his heels. He scowled at how many people were there. He doubted most actually had a reason to meet Pi. His ears and tail twitched with annoyance. He grabbed his notebook and started noting people he saw. He did this until it was his turn to sign up. He signed his name and placed down his paw to get recorded. He growled and wiped off the ink. Luna scrolls in her phone as she wait in line while popping bubblegum. She nodded to Milo to confirm his order, then turned her attention back to Kisha as she reached for Milo’s usual — banana muffins, now permanently moved to the spot by the register since Milo came in to get them so often. “Yeah, I thought you looked familiar,” she said is response to Kisha’s introduction. “I’m Charlotte.” She put the banana muffin and cinnamon roll in a little box with a napkin and handed it to Milo, briefly taking her eyes off Kisha to make sure he got a good hold of it before letting go. “I help my parents run the shop. They’re in the back.” She eagerly replied, “Uh-huh!” to Kisha’s request then handed her a cinnamon roll — equally boxed — and started punching in numbers for their orders on the register. Charlotte briefly paused when hearing the announcements over the speakers and furrowed her brows at the concept. Not to say she, unlike everyone else, had no interest in Pi; the things she’d heard about him, even if they were just rumors, were certainly interesting... but with all of the trouble caused by him (or more so the rebellion), she could only worry when she heard any news pertaining to him. This three visitors business sounded... odd... and she worried something bad would come of it. ‘I just hope no one gets hurt...’ She thought. Either way, she didn’t plan to be around when it happened. To Kisha’s question, she just chuckled a bit nervously. “Not unless he really wants a muffin, ha ha.” Getting serious, she sighed. “No, I’d rather work here. Milo slipped Charlotte a few extra dollars. “Be careful ok? You have my number if anything bad happens.” He smiled at Kisha and her before going to stand in line. He had been on duty but he doubted the chief would mind if he just stopped for a few more minutes. He slowly finished the muffin he was eating. Hanson stopped by to say hi to him.
