I got back this afternoon from a birding and camping trip, and the migratory birds were GORGEOUS! I'm still growing my life list and ended up adding a ton of new birds that I spotted. Mostly warblers, but also a new thrush and swan!

Had a humorous Baltimore oriole encounter while camping too- I was standing with my friend and two fighting orioles nearly hit me in the face, but they change direction at the last second.... and then nearly hit my friend in the face before landing in the ground and a red winged blackbird swooped in to chase them all off.

Got any birding stories? Any cool birds that you have spotted this year?

I don't have any personal stories that I can think of, but I can provide a fun fact: technically, there are no extant bird species with teeth. However, there are birds with tooth-like features, such as tooth-like tomia and (visually) the papillae of some species, such as geese.
