Biography
"The prairies are full of life, teeming under a façade of flatness and quiet. You have more under your surface than even you could know. Underneath is depth, and on the surface are smiles and charisma. Your charm is what will guide you through the physical world; your depth the spiritual. You are Prairie Charm."

Personality
Prairie is a young lioness with a dignity and charismatic grace to her. She holds herself with elegance, and has a sweet simpleness that naturally attracts other lions. She may not be high-ranking or aristocratic, but she's still proud of her homey charm. She's from a proud and powerful pride, and her king was something of a god. She can be conceited at times, and knows how attractive her simple sweetness is to other lions. In general, she's a very passive lioness. She chooses peace at all times, never argues, and generally agrees with everyone. She finds no reason to nitpick, and is generally fine with whatever's happening. She has a naïve trust in other lions, never thinking anything bad of them and willing to listen to whatever they say. She doesn't expect to be lied to, and doesn't lie to others. One rather cynical aspect to her, though, is her dislike of the idea of love. She's well-aware that she's attractive, but she wouldn't ever want to be in a committed relationship. She prides herself on charisma, but doesn't like to be flirted with - friendship is as far as she'll go.

Windward
There are conduits in the spirit world, bodies possessed by the dead. Reincarnation, it could be called. Prairie Charm always knew there was something different about her, but until her spirit was unlocked, she never saw that she was more than Prairie Charm - she was Windward, back once more to save Monarch from himself. She was quite kindness, and wisdom, and she knew she could save this pride. She still believes she can.

Background
Prairie came from humble beginnings. Her mother was content to be a background pride member, a wife of their divine king but not very important to him. Prairie was raised, for the first month of her life, to be content with this as well. She neve thought of herself as a major player in the cosmic destiny of their pride. She grew up cared for mainly by Tibuki, the Pale Mother. When she was still very young, unrest began to grow, a darkness spreading across the land. And Prairie began to feel something . . . familiar. On the day she saw the red horse galloping across the land, she also saw an image, like a memory in her mind. She saw a young lion, mottled with white and brown, she felt sweltering heat and the drumming of paws. Prairie was frightened of what she had seen, and Tibuki told her that it had likely been a harbinger of death. Prairie couldn't stop thinking about it, and she became obsessed with signs of death and impending doom. She would stray further and further, never afraid of being alone despite her young age. One day when she was out she spotted a lion from a distance: she recognized him from her vision. Given a choice between returning home and following him, she managed to pull herself away and run back to her pride. She spoke to Tibuki, who advised her to seek counsel with the god-king, Azarasti. Though frightened, Prairie went to him with her problem. His benevolence soothed her, and he told her that her visions were likely guiding her. She was young, really too young to leave, but she chose to go and find the vision-lion again. She travelled until she saw a pride bathing in hot-and-cold waters, and with them the king. She wandered down, and the pride was startled to find a young cub out alone. She chose not to tell them why she had come, though she couldn't say why. Her life seemed like it would go the normal way, until the day Black Adder tried to contact Windward's spirit. Prairie Charm began to feel disembodied, to recall memories that weren't hers. She went to Wine and Roses, who said she could help. Prairie would have trusted her, but Black Adder was quick to butt in. She told Prairie that she believed she was a reincarnation of Windward. Prairie believed her, and realized Wine wasn't there to help. But she stuck near Wine to avoid arousing her suspicion. Meanwhile, the pride was falling into chaos. Black Adder called Prairie to join her in travelling to a distant location to unlock Windward's soul. The journey, what they went through, is too long to detail. Suffice it to say they succeeded, and rushed back to their pride. With her newly-awoken memories, Prairie knew she had to help Monarch. But she came back to find she had been replaced - a construct created by the demon Morpheus masqueraded as her, and Monarch wouldn't listen to her. Black Adder was punished for her involvement, cast aside. Dusk, their Ìyánífá, had lost her mind. Desperate to break this spell, Prairie/Windward searched for a new Ìyánífá. She found a young lioness and trained her, trying to connect their pride back to the Orishas. After that Prairie chose to step down as a huntress. She didn't even take the time to train her own replacement. She needed the time to spend on Monarch, and she needed to be near Black Adder to speak with her.

How do you feel about Monarch?
"I feel only sadness for him. I can't but feel as though it's my fault, in part. What happened to him. If only he could let go, if only I had gotten to him sooner. But I believe, in the depths of my soul, that I can still save him."

Who is your favorite lion?
"The only lioness I can trust in this pride now is Black Adder. She struggles to keep her faith, but she will help me, I know it. She already has so much."

Who is your least favorite lion?
"The demon Morpheus has taken Monarch over, and he has done so with the false Windward, a construct of me, a shell of what I used to be. It can't survive if I am to help Monarch find his way back to the light."
