From birth, it was quite obvious that Venus was of royal blood. On her fur she bore markings corrupted markings, which was a sign she was descended of a noble king. Her mother was beautiful, with eyes of a snake, showing her descent and blessing of the snake spirits. Venus was power and beauty and was named as such.
Venus ran off one day, and entered an abandoned cave. It drew her in, a whisper luring her in, paws slowly and silently creeping into the cave. Inside resided a lion spirit, pure white, whiter than snow was. His mane fell down over his shoulders. He stood on a pile of sand, standing only a couple inches above Venus. He wore all sorts of golden ornaments. But his eyes were covered with a silk scarf, which fell gracefully over his shoulder.
βYoung one,β he said, βYou have my blessing. May you rule with peace and strength,β he said. And with that, the ornaments he was wearing fell from his body, and he dissipated like mist. Venus stood, emotionless. She stood for a moment. Her blood pulsed, and she knew what was happening. She put on the ornaments. Taking deep breaths, she put on the scarf.
Her head hurt, throbbing, making her vision black out. But she forced the black spots out of her eyes, gasping for air. The world had never been so clear. She ran outside to the river, and she had been⦠changed. Sunset wings had sprouted from her back, her gold ornaments, now, shining. She ran back home. The king of her pride bowed down to her. She was to become the next Queen of the pride, in only a few days. She was crowned on 22/03/15
